Review: DMI movers moved my house goods from CA to NM in last May. While they delivering goods, the movers damaged my house goods. I signed the release and Settlement of Claim form, which $114. I have submitted the claim forms on 21 Jan 2014 to Anthem Claim Management. The Anthem Claim Management has processed the claim on 27 Jan 2014. Now it is back to DMI Movers, I haven't heard anything from them since then. They still haven't pay me $114.Desired Settlement: Pay $114 ASAP.

Review: We had a contract with Red White & Blue Movers. The contract was $1291.00 They were given a down payment of $469.00 with $411.00 due at pick-up and $411.00 due at delivery.It was then subbed out to DMI Movers (we were never made aware of this)!A little background: the move was for my 84 year old mother who was moving from CA to my home in KY. DMI Movers arrived on May 2nd at which time after loading the truck had my mom write 2 checks $208.00 for packing (everything was already packed and the wrapping of furniture was to be included in the price) check #2 was $1216.00 for the move. They also collected the $411.00 money order. I stopped payment of check #1 & #2 since mom DID NOT have this money in her account! I contacted Red White & Blue who mysteriously had no idea of any of this! Next the truck shows up with a phone call from Dave @ DMI telling us to put back all the money in their account or no furniture and once they arrived they also demanded another certified check for $1085.00 or no furniture. They claim not to know Red White and Blue however funny thing the original contract was taped to one of the boxes they unloaded. Also, DMI's billing shows the original $469.00 but NOT the $411.00. In the end this move cost $3372.00 from 2 scamming Moving companies. I hope this can help just one person from ever using these companies again. This almost cause my mom a heart attack. Also, no one will return calls and if you're able to talk to someone by using a phone # that they're unaware of they act like they know nothing!Desired Settlement: This move was for 2000 lbs @$1291.00 It was 2200 @ extra $159. At 60 cents that is $132.00. There's $27.00 also $411.00 which is NOT credited anywhere! After that there is still a difference of $1934.00 which we are willing to negotiate in half. The refund due is $1405.00

Review: I used DMI movers for a recent move from Alameda, CA to Phoenix, AZ. I have written guarantees of a delivery date which was missed by 4 days. In addtion, when the movers arrived at my place in Alameda, they said some of my items were insufficiently packed and they would need to repack them, and that the weight of the truck was more than estimated. This increased the cost from $1600 to $2400. I called the day before my drop off was scheduled in AZ to confirm a time since the office would not provide me a cell phone for the driver, even though in the negotiation phases they said they would. In short, I was guaranteed a delivery date of 8/30, and I didn't recieve my items until late evening 9/2. Many times throughout the weekend I called to find out status of where my items were, and I was always told it would be the next day. I came to find out through the driver when he dropped off my items that the shipment was ALWAYS scheduled to arrive on 9/2 - NOT what I was guaranteed. In addition, when my items were dropped off, they were damaged. My entertainment center was broke beyond repair, and I was told that it would be noted on the inventory sheet and submitted to insurance. Now, I'm hearing that I was supposed to take photos and report this on my own. The supervisor will not call me back, and when I am able to get a hold of him, he claims to not know what I am talking about. He is not helpful in offering any resolution or reasoning as to why this happend.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $2437.70 based on the fact that they missed the guaranteed delivery date by 4 days and lack of care with the items they packed for me.
