Delta Shores Resort Reviews (1)

Review: We were offered a membership to this resort and it's additional site on July 14,2013. We were not going to join for just two sites as that did not sound reasonable to us, so then we were also told that 9 other sites in Washington and Oregon were in process of being added to the membership and would be included. We felt that would be more reasonable and we agreed on a final price to join this membership. In late November 2013 we received a letter from Vista Resorts stating it was having a meeting in our area to discuss things such as dues increases (how much and why), possible changes in benefits, the new and diverse direction going forward, how the industry has changed and so forth. We made an appt. for 12/8/2013 @ 4pm. The man who spoke that night was named [redacted]. He spoke while showing us slide images of the Washington and Oregon site saying this was what was now available. He briefly spoke of the increase in dues stating he had no idea how much any of the increases would be even though the person who called said it was imperative we be there because of this information. And proceeded to tell us it would basically cost all of us another $5000.00 per membership to include the Washington and Oregon sites (9 total). In July I was told it would be included in ours. And my husband and I weren't alone in being told that. At least one other couple who walked out of the meeting along with us said they were also told that the 9 sites from Washington and Oregon would be included. I feel that I was being scammed at the meeting, brought in on false pretenses and have been lied to since the initial July sale. After my husband left the room and as I was gathering my things "[redacted]" called my husband "ignorant" to the remaining couples in the room. Which was uncalled for. "[redacted]" was challenged with the information he was dolling out and he didn't like it and got mad. Told the other couples to ignore what my husband said and called him "ignorant". At that point I left, so I have no idea what was said after that.

I want my money back. I would not have bought into the resorts for just two sites and our "sales" person [redacted] at the Camping World site knew this at the time when he was trying to get us to buy into the resorts. We told him it wasn't worth buying two sites and we were going to leave. He told us we'd have access to all 11 sites when the Washington and Oregon sites became available. Mr. "[redacted]" at the meeting said that was not possible. we'd have to pay more. I'm not paying more.

Response:

In regards to following complaint, the benetts did purchase a membership from delta shores on 7/14/2014. In addition to their 2 home parks, they also can utilize the 9 washington and Oregon parks. We apologize for any inappropriate language the marketing representative [redacted] used in her presence, and action has been taken against this person. [redacted]
