I had labs done Aug 30, and I received a bill around the beginning of October*** HIP wanted them to get more information from my doctor's office and resubmit the claim*** also told them I was not to receive a bill at allDecember 5, I received another billI called MACL, and I was told they submitted information to my doctor's office, but my doctor's office never sent back the information neededI called *** again told MACL I was not to receive a billMACL told *** they never received anything back from my doctor's officeI contacted my doctor's office Dec 6th, and the nurse said she sent the requested information the same day she received it, Oct I contacted MACL, and the rep said there was no way possible that a doctor's office would ever be that efficientShe said nothing was ever received*** called MACL and was told the same thingSo, I called my doctor's office to see what was going on, but I had to leave a voicemailThe doctor's office called me back to let me know she (receptionist) had contacted MACL, and Brianna form MACL said they HAD received the information requested, Nov3rdShe said they would resubmit the claim Dec I'm assuming MACL just wanted more moneyThey get more if I have to end up paying in cash instead of Healthy Indiana Plan (medicaid)They had my paperwork for OVER a monthThey told me they had not received anything, and they had told *** they had not received anythingYet, when my doctor's office called, all of a sudden they "found" the paperworkThis caused me a lot of undue stressHaving a bill that's not paid also affects my creditCompletely irresponsible and incompetent
The lab I go to on E. 10th St near Washington Square is slower than turtles. I can be one of only 2 people waiting and it still takes half an hour. Not sure how they handle a busy day!
Seems like the few staff are having their social hour while I'm missing work. Not very customer service focused. I will say, my Doctor gets results very quick, maybe I need to find a better location.
