was not satisfied with the job that Deluxe Wood Flooring did at my house. Ireached out them via phone and email on several occasions. I work and informedAnthony that I could be available for him to see the floors any day from 5:00onward. This was very difficult for him to accommodate, as he told me that theonly times he would be able to come to my house to look at the floors would bewhen I was at work. I have emails that document this. When Anthony finally came to see my floors in November of 2014, over 2 months after we tried to schedule with him, he agreed that the stain and finish were not what they should have been and that he did not know why they did not turn out as they were supposed to. At that time he made us the offer that he would redo the shine and finish on our floors at no cost to us. When I contacted Anthony to schedule a time for him to redo the floors it was apparent that he changed his mind and was trying to place the blame of the floors fading/ not having a shine elsewhere. None of which are true. I have pictures to document what the color of the floors were on the day they were finished and what they quickly faded to.  These can also be provided. No threating email was sent to Anthony from me. On January 16th I emailed him:“Anthony,  Upon observation of my floors by you, you agreed that the floors did not turn out as they should have. You offered my husband and me several options to correct this problem. One of those options was to add an extra coat of the the water based finish. You also offered to sand, stain and finish the floors with a water based or oil based stain and finish to get the results you promised us when we hired you to do the job. As I have stated, both the stain and finish are not what they should be. Applying an additional coat of water based finish over them will not fix the existing problems.  The options I am offering you at this time, are for you either to fix the floors by sanding them, applying stain and the proper finish or to refund my money for this portion of the job so that I can have the floors done correctly elsewhere. Please I did not receive a response from him, so I reached out to him one final time on January 28th with the following email: Anthony,  I have provided you the opportunity to fix my hardwood floors that you  and your company incorrectly and poorly finished. Clearly, from your  lack of response you are uninterested in doing so. At this point I have  no other choice than to have another contractor professionally finish  my floors correctly and fix the mistakes that you did. Please note that  I will be expecting you to pay for this service. I can either submit  you the estimate I receive from the contractor or take you to court to  get reimbursed for the amount. I also, will be contacting the RevDex.com, Attorney General, Consumer Affairs to report you for  your unethical business practices and breach of contract.  I did not hear from you for the email I sent on January 16, so I am not  hopeful that you will respond to this email either. However, If you  would like to contact me before I do what I mentioned above, you have  72 hours.

Deluxe Wood Floors completed this job on July 25th of 2014 and customer was satisfied with the entire job. The first email from the costumer [redacted] was sent on September 7th, 2014 (which was almost 2 months later).  The customer’s complaint was that her floor was not showing much...

of a shine and was wondering what we can do to help.  In good faith and to keep our impeccable reputation, Deluxe Wood Floors offered the customer an additional coat of finish at NO charge to bring up her shine but she was not satisfied with that.  We feel that the issue here is that she was not satisfied with the original color and shine that she picked and she now wants the floors redone at Deluxe Wood Floors’ expense. The lines of communication were open and it was because of the customer’s schedule that we could not get a firm date.  We did not respond to the last email sent by the customer [redacted] dated January 28th, 2015 because of the threatening contents in the email.

Deluxe Wood Flooring completed the job in July 2014 and the customer was happy with the job.  When [redacted] contacted my company in September via email and mentioned that the shine on her floors were dull, I told her I would come and take a look at it which I did in November.   Deluxe never changed our decision in giving the customer a free coat of finish in good faith and I was very accommodating to [redacted]s work schedule but the customer decided that she wanted to wait until January.  sent me an email on 11/22 and stated the following:“We are thinking that it would be best to wait until January since our holiday decorations will be up and that will be too much to move.  Also, after discussing it over we would like to have the floor re-stained, as well.”   Hopefully, this time around they come out as they should! We never discussed redoing the whole job, she was just concerned with the shine in her floor but as months passed by she decided she wanted the whole job redone or her money back.  As stated in the beginning of this email,  [redacted] was happy with the job when it was completed in July 2014.    In conclusion we feel that [redacted] has buyers’ remorse of the color of stain and shine of her choosing.  Again, for the sake of good will we are still offering the extra coat of finish but that’s all we are offering. When a customer says if we don’t do what she wants that she will contact the Consumer Affairs, the Revdex.com and the Attorney General  with a 72 hour window to respond; we feel that’s an open threat.

Review: Deluxe Floor was hired to install unfinished hardwood flooring in my house, then stain and finish the floors in July of 2014. The floors were to have a cherry stain and semi-gloss finish. We were instructed to not walk on the floors for the first day and upon checking the floors the next day we noticed that the color faded and there was no shine to the floors. This is documented through date stamped photographs. I contacted Anthony and it took him over 2 months to schedule a time to see the floors. Upon inspection by him he agreed that although the floors look great in his opinion (I disagree) they did not turn out as contracted. He agreed to come back and sand the floors, stain them and put a finish on them, so that they would be done correctly as per our contract. However, when I contacted him to schedule this service he had several excuses as to why his was unwilling to do that anymore. He is also refusing to return any of my emails. The floors are also separating between the boards, which should be laying flat and the wood was installed with holes in them.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded, so that I can have another contractor do the floors correctly.
