A previous question in this form asks "Does your complaint involve a health issue'" No it does not .....not directly. But I will say that Deluxe Pavers Inc brought immense stress, confusion & torment to my elderly Father who was quite ill. I cannot help but think the added stress played a hand in his ultimate demise. He has since passed away. My Mother & Father contracted Deluxe Pavers Inc to complete a driveway job. Scope of work was to include obtaining permits from city, as well as actual job (which would have included work, supplies, installation, etc.) Proposal was completed & my parents paid 60% deposit by check (which was immediately cashed, of which I have cancelled check & various other documentation). After months of dodging & evading my elderly parents' phone calls & inquiries, Deluxe Pavers Inc simply disappeared....with $3120 of my parents' money.

To Whom it may concern:
We were contracted by Mr. Adolph Avayu NOVEMBER 3, 2018 and we were given a deposit of $3100. We went 12 times to the city of Coral gables to get permits. We fill out paper, surveys, notary and wasted several business days and time to get approved by the City of Coral Gables. The city did not approved of the work because the house is out of building code. They need to remove all the concrete of the back patio in order to add drainage. We went to a survey company and they did a drawing for us to have it approved by the city of Coral Gables. Due to the denial of the permit by the city Mr. Aveyu called me on February, 2019 canceling complete work and telling us that due to our expenses and time to keep the deposit that he will not continue with the work required in order to pass inspection.

Deluxe Pavers, Inc. satisfactorily settled matter by refunding 60% of the funds paid to them.
