Review: The company quoted me $250 for the first hour of work and $180 per hour subsequently. They were at my apartment for 90 minutes and replace two $15 valves. They invoiced me for almost $1000 and have repeatedly avoided sending me an itemized invoice. They reduced the amount of the invoice by a few dollars without explanation, but the amount is still not congruent with the rate they quoted. I even offered to pay them what I felt was a reasonable amount and while they acknowledged my emails the salesperson said she would speak to her boss and has not responded. Their invoice states a due date of November [redacted] and a penalty of 16% to be payable if not met so I am afraid I will now be subject to legal proceedings. Also they state that all unpaid invoices will be subject to collection. I have very good credit, and the threat os additional charges and legal action is highly concerning.Desired Settlement: I'd like the company to itemize its invoice, in order to justify the fact that they seem to have charged me over $400 for parts and consumables which are available to by for a few bucks each, given their quoted labour rates. Additionally I'd like them to adjust their invoice, substantially reducing it, or accepting the offered of settlement I made.

The revised, but still not itemized invoice they issued shows $750 for "parts and labour"

I have offered to settle the following and received no response to this or to my request for an itemized invoice:

1 hour’s labor, 1 x $250 = $250

0.5 hour’s labor, 0.5 x $180 = $90

2 x 1/2” ball valves 2 x $20 = $40

consumables $50

gas surcharge $2

total $432
