Water Drainage on the driveway extension goes the wrong wayWe hired DeMartino Masonry to put a driveway extension on our driveway. A third parking space. The job was completed and we immediately noticed an uneven channel through the driveway. Then the rain came and the water hits the parking pad and drains inwards towards the driveway rather than out to the grass/lawn. We had specifically discussed drainage and that the pad would allow for drainage toward the grass. Instead it runs inwards towards the driveway and pools with no outlet. When it rains heavily enough or we need to use the hose on the driveway it floods our garage. You can look at the extension and physically see the inward slope towards the driveway. The wrong way. I have emailed [redacted] several times and included a picture with no response and called and left phone messages. He was supposed to come by April 28 around lunch time and he never showed up. Communication with this company has been an issue since day one.Desired SettlementReturn our call and come by to fix it as soon as possible.Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/Contacted by company. I have sent multiple emails to him with my availability for him to come out and look at the issue with no response. My availability I informed them was anytime and I would be sure to be there. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible as it is resulting in flooding every time it rains onto my driveway and into the garage. I cannot even run a hose on my driveway. This is preventing moving forward with other home projects we have in the works. I would like to resolve with the Revdex.com rather than court.Business Response /[redacted]/Business states they have contacted the customer and she knows they will do whatever is necessary to correct the problem.Consumer Response /[redacted]/I have contacted the contractor 2-3 times by telephone and each time he says he will take care of it. This case is not closed until he shows up with a cement truck to actually fix it. We are going on months with all talk and no action. I plan to call him again on Monday. DeMartino stated his team would be out the afternoon of July 31 or August 1 to fix. They never showed nor called. Have called them nearly everyday since with no returned call by DeMartino. Consumer Response /[redacted]/Case can be closed. Contractor repaired the pad by ripping out a section and fixing the drainage issue. After a heavy rain we can confirm that the issue has been fixed. Overall I am disappointed with this company. It took over 6 months to resolve this problem with a lot of calling, emailing, and texting on my part to DeMartino. When he finally did come to fix it he did not even come to talk to me and discuss the issue or discuss how it was going to be resolved in person but sent two non English speaking workers to complete the job. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Consumer Response /[redacted]/We hired [redacted] to put a driveway extension in. The first one was done poorly and 6 months later he sent a crew to replace the bad section. The workmen hit a sprinkler line repairing the defective section and now I have a miniature geyser shooting out through the seams. We are having major flooding issues and extreme damage to landscape. If not repaired immediately could result in a sink hole!FIX IT in a timely fashion. Immediately. The owner of the company to come out and inspect the issue and work on it more closely with his workers.Business Response /[redacted]/Business states they were rained out the first date they schedule to do the repair. They spoke with the customer this morning and hope to make the repair this week.
