Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The amount of sand on the walkways and steps was not in an amount appropriate for an "arctic front" It was between 1/and 1/inches deep Rather than a safety measure, it was a nuisanceThe sand was swept away by a resident at the complex, rather than management as claimed by Deming Real EstateRather than taking any steps to resolve my complaint, Deming Real Estate suggested I move out This response exemplifies poor customer service and was not addressed in the response here Regards, [redacted]
[redacted], In response to your e-mail, the following is submitted: As Austin and Central Texas Property Managers, we take pride in our record for the safety of the residents living in the properties we manage. Therefore, due to to forecasted freezing rain, sand was applied...
to exterior walkways and stairs of [redacted] where Mr. [redacted] resides. The extended forecast called for more freezing precipitation in the near future. It was about this time that we had a request from Mr. [redacted] to remove the sand. The sand was not removed at that time due to an incoming arctic front. Shortly afterward, another request came in from Mr. [redacted] to have the sand removed. Again, another freezing rain was in the near forecast and it was explained to Mr. [redacted], that for safety reasons; the sand would not be removed until there were no other threats for hazardous weather. And that we would not assume liability if the sand were to be removed prematurely. Once the forecast no longer included this dangerous condition, the sand was swept from the walkways and stairs as previously mentioned. Kind regards, [redacted] Deming Real Estate
