Review: We bought a coop in early 2013 that needed a gut renovation. We hired Denmar Electric before any other contractors to install new panel box, install gfi outlets in bathroom and kitchen and replace old 2 prong outlets with new 3 prongs and also add a quad outlet I an office area. [redacted] (owner) walked through our apartment back in February and asked where we want new outlets and our response was wherever was needed in order to pass inspection. Denmar invoiced us for a new panel box when all that was done was taking out the old fuse box and replacing it with a circuit breaker and nothing more than a panel face plate. No box and no labeling of circuits as required per inspector. The GFI outlet to be installed in the kitchen was placed directly over the sink when in fact our contractor and the super specifically mentioned to Denmar employees that it would not pass inspection only to be told we take our orders from the home office. Additionally, employees smashed through our neighbors bathroom wall.Desired Settlement: We have repeatedly tried to resolve the situation with Denmar in an amicable way and they refuse to speak with us regarding the faulty and fraudulent work their employees did in our apartment. We have sent certified letter saying we will pay for new gfi outlet to be installed but will not pay for demolition or reconstruction of our entire new kitchen as it was their fault. We still owe nearly $1,000 which is in escrow until which time they come to fix

Response:

Attached is a copy of the work which was completed. Also attached is a cipy of the violation received from the building department, which has only one violation for only having one counter tip receptacle. This is all the client asked for, he did not want to do any work in the kitchen because [redacted] said he could not afford to upgrade the kitchen at this time and that he would do it at a later date. We installed all outlets where we were directed. We need to receive our final balance ($1000.00) at which time we can go back to install an additional counter tip outlet at an additional cost to the client, We do not plaster or paint after installation, that is the clients responsibility.

Response:

The amount of work contacted to Denmar is clear and was completed as per the attached proposal, which states (1) GFCI in bathroom and (1) GFCI in kitchen. The violation states not enough receptacles in kitchen; there is no mention of location of GFCI. See attached objection.

If you need additional outlets in kitchen we will gladly install for an additional cost.
