Termites damage in multiple area in the house, not repaired for over 7 months. We had a room full of flying bugs(black) coming out from kitchen wall this spring of 2014. We have contacted this business and have not repaired any at this point. When we contacted this business that day, the clerk instructed to keep the bugs and verified that it was termites. One person who supposed to repair the damage called several times and came to our house. He kept telling us that we should let it go, can't remove shelves from wall, fill the inside hole where bugs came out, etc....We took off from work those times to meet this person which wasted our vacation days. We had same type of damage on the back porch door frame 4-5 years ago, but the person from this business who inspected the door frame told us it was not termites since the bug was not WHITE. No repair was done at that time.We have been patiently waited approximately 7 months for their response till now. We would like to resolve this problem with assistance from Revdex.com or someone else.We do have phone records with Dew termites office and the person who supposed to repair our damage. We also have bugs in a jar in case they need to see.Desired SettlementRepair all termites areas as soon as possible. We would like to determine when repair should take place. So we can take off to monitor them since we already wasted several days for useless visits.thank you.Business Response Customer called our office on 4/3/14 with complaint of damage in kitchen and interior garage wall. These areas were treated by our company on 4/29/14 and the customer requested repairs. Customers information was given to a contractor on 5/1/14 to get an estimate of repair costs. The contractor did an estimate but notified our office on 5/30/14 that he wasn't able to schedule repairs with the customer because they were going out of town for a couple of weeks and they were suppose to let us know when they returned. On 7/15/14, the customers information was given to a different contractor. He went to do the estimate and informed our company president, [redacted] Dew, that the customer had recently built shelves along the walls in the garage area, which prevents the contractor from accessing the damaged areas. The contractor informed the customer that he would need to have the shelving in that area removed so he could do the repairs. The customer told the contractor that he would not pay anyone to remove the shelving. The customers contract with our company does cover replacement of damage due to termite damage. However, it does not cover having the shelving removed in order for us to access the walls. This would be at customers expense to remove shelving. Once he has made these arrangements and given the contractor advance notice, the contractor can schedule to do the repairs.Concerning the back door frame. The technician that went out to inspect determined that the damage was not from termites. This is not covered under the customers contract. We regret the customers inconvenience of having to take off work. But in order to get the estimates and attempt to do the repairs, the contractor did require access to the inside of his home.
