Terrible experience. They charged us $985 to repair a problem we had with our kitchen sink drain that was back flowing water, especially when it rained. After making their repair, we still had the problem. They then said that our problem wasn't with what we paid them to fix, but was a problem with the pipe in our yard drain. They said to fix that was a "big job" and said it would be over $1,000 to repair. We complained to the owner, and he sent two guys out. They went into the yard and cleaned out the yard drain. After that, we no longer had a problem with the kitchen sink. If they are pros at this, they should have checked the yard drain first, instead of charging us to repair something that wasn't the problem.

I have attached the invoice for the work done at [redacted]. As you can see there is no Valve replacement that was on the contract. We have had a bit of trouble with this customer. We are standing by the work that we did. If we need to take any further action please let me...

know.Thank you Debbie

Review: At the request of [redacted] ([redacted]) I hired Dennis Pratt & Son on July 14, 2014. He read the work order completed by [redacted], it took him less than 5 seconds on the top of his head to estimate that the work would cost $1,600.00. I specifically asked him if the work would be completed by a licensed master plumber, as was requested by [redacted], he replied "yes". However, the work was done by young men, who I seriously doubt were "licensed" or "master plumbers". However, since my gas had been turned off, I wanted to work done promptly because my sickly 85 year old father resides with me in this residence. Two days later on 7-16-2014, upon being told by Dennis's son that the work was completed, I had [redacted] scheduled to turn the gas back on. [redacted] refused to turn it back on, stating that there was still a gas leak being detected, and the work was not fully completed. I called the office of Dennis Pratt & son, spoke to a receptionist, who then sent the two young men who did the work back to my home. I was told by the two young men, that they would be back, to finish the work, guess what?? they never came back. I did however, on this same day speak to Dennis Pratt over the phone, and he lied and said he had contracts with the city of phila, and that he would have [redacted] come out and turn the gas back on. I called [redacted] myself, and confirmed that this was a lie. On 7-18-2014 a colleague of Mr.Pratt was present at my home when [redacted] came out once again to turn the gas back on.. it was turned back on, however, I was told that the MAIN HEATER which heats the entire house needed a new valve. [redacted] put a lock on the heater, and I said to MR. PRATT's colleague, "this was on the work order, why was the valve not replaced?" his response was that the valve cost $350.00.. I have since then made numerous phone calls and sent emails to Dennis Pratt & son, trying to resolve this issue, and ask why the work was not fully completed. NO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS HAVE EVER BEEN RETRUNED.Desired Settlement: I have proof on the work order made by [redacted] that clearly states the main heater was to be fully worked on, valve included. I have since then asked the opinion of 2 contractors, and they both agree that Dennis Pratt & son did not fully complete the job. If the valve is not replaced, my sickly 85 year-old father will not have heat when the weather becomes cold. This is appalling and abusive toward an elderly man.
