Review: Dennis Seldon was hired to repair front exterior retainer wall that was damaged in a car accident (at [redacted].)This occurred October 27, 2010. He showed pictures of the work that he had done in the past and stated that we (my son which this is his property but because of a heavy work load asked me to take care of it for him). Cinder block wall has to be replaced with new cinder block, top of retainer wall rollock bricks are damaged. They must be replaced with new bricks, retainer wall, finish is cement float finish to match existing wall and 11 x 8 patio has to be replaced with new concrete using stone base and 4" concrete. This what was on his receipt. Dennis was paid 3,200.00 for this job and stated that he will come back in a couple of days to finish the job (paint the wall, cracks in the work in which he did, the water is sitting on top of the patio and didn't place drainage in proper place. Four square block on the patio and on one of the blocks in the back has a whole in the cement where he didn't complete. Dennis gave me a oral agreement about six or seven times that he would get the paint and finish the job. Recently I called him at least four or five times and he stated that he would finish. Two week ago I called him and again he stated that he would finish the job. He stated that he was working on someone else property and that I wouldn't want him to stop and leave them hanging. I told him that exactly what he did to me. It is going to be very difficult for Dennis to match the match because he doesn't have the old piece of the wall. The only reason that I recommended Dennis to the insurance company was because we had a mutual friend and I though I was helping him. He was making promises and is cannot keep his word. I have a contract but the part that he didn't finish he promised that he would finish and it wouldn't take very long to finish.Desired Settlement: I feel that Dennis should give back all the money because I work in which was done (concert has cracks running through it and the water when it rains in on top of the patio and he suppose to be a professional and should have place the drainage in the correct spot. Also, he should have paint when he said because how is he going match the paint. I have pictures from the work which he has done.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing in reference to Dennis Seldon Home and Remodeling Service complaint [redacted], which was submitted 10/5/2013. For work which was not finished nor of acceptable standards at the time which clearly not succeeded in meeting my expectations.

Dennis Seldon apologized for the inconvenience and any problems created by his business in error. Dennis stated that his business takes great care to ensure that important matters such as this are properly managed (although due to a worker’s carelessness and lack of communication).

In light of this, Dennis Seldon has resolved this matter and has gone beyond the call of duty by doing extra work to compensate for the discrepancy. He has given a guarantee for this work and to please contact him should there be or have any further cause for concern.

I am very satisfied with the results and his business should be taken off of the Revdex.com list.
