We at Dennison Toyota understand that Mr*** is upset with the concern of his Toyota Tundra in regards to the presence of rust in the truck bedThe manufacturer's rust perforation warranty coverage is years regardless of miles from the
original sales date of September 26, 2002.The bed was removed for the completion of a recall performed in January of At the time of removal, the bed bolts were covered with a spray in bed linerMr*** *** has brought the concern to our attention and our body shop has performed a inspectionThe inspection revealed the origin of the rust is from the structural bracing of the bed floor located on the underside of the bedThe presence of the spray in bed liner has no rust preventive properties to the underside of the bedWe have concluded the concern is a result from exposure to weather associated elements not the result from any previous repairs

Their response is what I expected based on previous discussions with them, no businesses want to accept responsibility these daysI am very familiar with warranty, but still feel that they are partially responsible due to the sub-par repair that they performed on the recall that left that part of the bed exposedAfter owning Toyotas and having them all serviced at Dennison, they've successfully converted us to a Honda family

circumstance, the receipt for vehicle repairs is in a different name than the owner of the vehicle thus making Mrs. [redacted] ineligible for reimbursement through the dealership. We have directed the customer to Ford customer relations for further assistance. Ford customer relations has been contacted by Mrs. [redacted]. Ford customer relations center has requested copies of the supporting documentation.
