Review: We contracted with [redacted]' Fine Painting to paint the exterior of our home and garage in August of 2012. We also included 3 interior rooms in November of 2012. The interior job was completed in a timely manner. However, this was not the case with the exterior painting. We paid an initial deposit on August 22, 2012. Over the course of the next many months, we made additional payments and were given many excuses as to why the exterior job was taking much longer than promised. To our relief, The job was finally completed in early 2013, approx 6+ months later. It should be noted this was well over the timeframe [redacted], the business owner stated in our initial conversations. To our disappointment, the paint on the entire back wall of the house began to flake and peel in less than 18 months. It was obvious that particular wall did not receive the 2 coats of topcoat paint that we paid for. Honestly, I can see how it happened, as the house was piece milled with different painters showing up sporadically, sometimes not for days at a time, not really knowing who painted what. We contacted [redacted] directly in late 2014, as our contract states we have an 8 year warranty. Over the course of the last 5 months, we have left repeated messages and have had repeated conversations with [redacted]. After the same many excuses we heard in our initial dealings with [redacted], including one where he stated it was just warranty work, he finally sent someone out in mid April 2015 to begin the work. His employee showed up on a bicycle, without even a ladder. He spent less than 2 days over the course of 2 weeks sanding, caulking and applying primer to the back wall and has not been back since. [redacted]' unscrupulous business practices have left me with few alternatives, one being to file a complaint and seek your assistance in resolving this issue. The fact of the matter is that he received our full payment long ago and has no motivation to correct the issues that his poor work has now caused.Desired Settlement: We want the work completed by June 15, 2015, scheduled when I am here, done by a competent painter who brings all required tools with him and in the color and brand we paid for. We want to ensure our home and/or home address and/or photograph is not used for any type of reference/inferred reference/recommendation for any business Dave Dennis owns/has an interest in. Based on our experience, we can not participate in anything that would infer we are satisfied with or recommend Dave Dennis.

Review: I retained [redacted]' Fine Painting to paint house in March 2007. Over the next 3 yrs the paint and grout began to crack and peel. I review my contact the limited warranty on all wood painted products is 8 years. Realizing that the clock was ticking, I tried to contact the owner [redacted]. The phone number was no longer in service and I became concerned that I would not be able to locate him. In December 2012, I was able to obtain a new phone number for [redacted]. I left him a message around the holiday. In January 2013, [redacted] returned my call and left a message. Over the next few weeks we played phone tag. In December 2013, I realized that I had a short window to get the work fix. I was able to reach [redacted] and we discussed the my concerns. He quickly came by the house following day to review the area. [redacted] said he would get the work scheduled as soon as possible. I have been admittedly calling him for now 9 months and he keeps telling me he will get to it. I keep hearing excuses like they are really busy, in April the winds where the problem. In June he said it would be a few weeks. So I have now come to the point of no longer believing him. I realized the job will not gain him income for the job but a warranty is in place.Desired Settlement: I would like his crew to come and correct the chipped paint and grout in a timely manner. I need a few weeks notice so I can manage my pets and work schedule.
