Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My complaint was that I had requested Synthetic oil in the truck before I purchased the truck and had also requested Synthetic oil at each oil changeI was told that GM recommends Synthetic blend oil in the truck and that was the oil that was in the truck at time of purchase and requested Synthetic oil at each oil change and was told that Synthetic oil was being put in my truckAs far as the conversation with Terry and KevinTerry left out that fact that I had asked several times if Synthetic oil was a better product than the Rotorcraft Diesel oilThe next day Terry got a reply from Kevin that the Synthetic oil was a better product for my truckI also have a response from one of the sales people at Denny Menholts who I made the purchase agreement with stated that I had requested Synthetic oil in the truck before I would purchase itI have that statement with meThey didn't fulfill their end of the purchase agreement and mislead me at each oil changeI want them to make the sales agreement right between Denny Manholts and myselfI did tell Terry that I will be talking to a lawyerIf I break a contract with a business they would hold me accountable and I expect the same from themSincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:i do not hear Denny Menholts admitting to the fact that they did not honor the sales agreement that was made on 11/23/and that they knowingly mislead me and lied to me at the purchase date as well as the three service datesI can provide a statement from their sales person that at time of purchase that I agreed to purchase the truck with Synthetic oil before the truck left the lotTerry also stated that I would get the benefits from the Synthetic oil over long term extending the life of the truck. WE are currently actively working with *** to resolve her mechanical issues with her carOn Jan 12th we put *** into a rental car at no expense to herWe have also worked with a General Motors representative to approve the repair of the of the original damage caused by the engine
compartment fireAfter those repairs were completed we now have additional needed repairs to *** car but are awaiting General Motors approval for completion and payment of those repairsI want to update the complaint file to show that we are all working together for mutual resolution of these mechanical issuesI will be out of the office until next week Jan and will update the file at that time

AS STATED EARLIER THAT WE ARE NOT DISPUTING WHICH MOTOR OIL WAS USEDIN OUR PROFESSSIONAL OPINIONS WE DO NOT FEEL MR ***S ENGINE HAS RECIEVED ANY DAMAGE FROM THE USE OF MOTORCRAFT 15W-CJ-MOTOROIL. I WILL STAND BY MY OFFER TO COMPLETE THE SERVICES WITH THE MOTORCRAFT 5-CJ-SYNTHETIC I WOULD BE HAPPY TO REIMBURSE FOR THE OIL CHANGES THAT WERE SUBMITTED TO GENERAL MOTORS FOR PAYMENT AS WELLBUT LET IT BE CLEAR WE WILL NOT BE PURCHASING MR ***S VEHICLE BACKHE SHOULD SEEK LEGAL COUNSEL FOR PROFESSIONAL REPRESENTATION

Mr*** did purchase a used Corvette from us and did have problems shortly after purchaseThe car was located in Gillette WyomingIt was diagnosed at another Chevrolet dealer Whites MotorsThe vehicle required a body control module be replacedAt this time because of the age of the
car this body control module was not obtainable from the General Motors but needed to be rebuilt causing a delay in the repair processDenny M*** Chevrolet did pay Whites Motors for this repair at a cost of $At the time of purchase Mr*** was offered a extended service contract and elected to not purchase a warrantyMr*** was also contacted by our staff and he did return to Billings and offered to trade out of his Corvette and into something else but he did not like any of the inventory and we could not meet his needsAt this time we feel we have met the conditions of purchase for Mr***

*** *** first contacted me about his concern with the type of oil used on his vehicle on April 18, I listened to his concern and advised I would check into the matter and report back to himI reviewed
*** invoice and determined that the oil we used was Motorcraft 15w-CJ-conventional diesel engine oil. I was out of town and my shop foreman, Stu S***, called and informed *** of the oil used*** then called me to discuss this matter again and I arranged to conference call him with Kevin S***, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, with A & I Distributors in Billings, MT
A & I Distributors distributes lubricants in nine western states. Kevin is one of about 1,people that is a certified Tribologist/Lubrication Engineer. Tribology is the study of science and engineering of interacting surfaces in relative motion. It includes the study and application of principles of friction, lubrication and wearTribology is a branch of mechanical engineering and materials science
We called *** during his lunch hour and discussed a number of itemsThe first topic discussed was that *** requested synthetic motor oil and the oil was changed times with a conventional diesel engine oilThe first being December 14, at 3,miles, the second February 13, at 7,miles, and the third at March 19, at 12,milesOn every service Motorcraft 15w-CJ-was used. All of these oil changes were charged to General Motors under warranty for pre-paid maintenanceMotorcraft 15w-CJ-meets and exceeds General Motors Duramax Diesel requirementsAmerican Petroleum Institute (API) CJ-is the requirement of the Duramax Diesel engine. I offered to pay Sax Motor Company for the service that is scheduled for Thursday, April 28th. I have offered 5w-CJ-synthetic oil changes going forward. *** has threatened legal recourse
