On an average day we take at least calls asking if we have a hitch in stock for a particular vehicleWe sell and install hitches from ***, [redacted] , [redacted] and ***Mr [redacted] called and asked if we had a hitch and wiring for a [redacted] in stock and we didThe vehicle was dropped off and we installed the hitch and the wiring that we stock for this vehicleThe hitch was installed correctly per the hitch manufacture specsOne of the requirements is the fascia under the vehicle be cut to accommodate the hitchThis cut is under the vehicle and not noticeably visible when looking at the carCutting the fascia to install a hitch is common on some vehicles When Mrs [redacted] picked up the vehicle and expressed that she had wanted a different type of hitch,she was informed that what she was looking for was a Factory or *** itemAn item that is not available to us through our hitch suppliersWe install aftermarket hitches.We are sorry that Mrs [redacted] had other expectations for a hitch that were not expressed to us.Since the only item in question is the hitch, not the wiring or the ball mount (Invoice enclosed)We will refund the purchase price of the hitch and the installation of the hitch either upon returning and letting us remove the hitch or return of the hitch: $for the hitch+ $to install= $+tax=$refundPlus we will replace the bumper for the [redacted] , just have the dealer call us and we will arrange payment with the dealer.Please let us know if this is acceptable.Brads Trailer Service

Details of complaint# ***Mr*** came in to Brads with a hitch to have installed plus wiring, for which we supplied andhooked up the partsThe wiring was done first, this is done on the inside of the vehicleToinstall many hitches the muffler needs to be temporarily lowered enabling the
hitch to beinstalledUpon loosening the muffler, the muffler dropped to the floor and almost hit one ofthe mechanicsThis is not normal!After the hitch was installed, Mr*** was brought in to the shop, where his vehicle was still upon the liftHe was shown the muffler and explained how they were going to reattach themufflerThey also explained to him that the vehicle was going to be loud, plus he was alsoshown the safety concerns they had with the welds on the mufflerIt was suggested for him toreturn to where he had the muffler repaired and talk with them.Mr*** called on speaker phone from the muffler shop saying we had used a hammer on hismufflerThe muffler was never hammered, nor was there any reason for it to be hammered.His already repaired muffler was dented as it did fall to the floorWe put the call on hold tohave the mechanic again discuss what was done, but in the minute if took to get the mechanicto the phone, Mr*** and the muffler shop had hung up.We feel we did nothing wrong or hidden on this jobIn the spirit of good business, we wouldconsider reimbursing him for the hitch install labor of $70.00.Sincerely,Richard L***President

vehicle was dropped off and we installed the hitch and the wiring that we stock for this vehicle. The hitch was installed correctly per the hitch manufacture specs. One of the requirements is the fascia under the vehicle be cut to accommodate the hitch. This cut is under the vehicle and not noticeably visible when looking at the car. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me if I am understanding their settlement correctly.We have received a quote from our local Jeep dealership for the removal of the incorrect hitch and replacement of the grille, invoice # [redacted] for a total of $393.17. From the message I received Brad's Trailer has offered to pay for this, we have the work done and Vision Jeep needs to contact them for payment. Once the hitch is removed, we will then bring the hitch back to Brad's Trailer and receive the refund for $265.66 which is the hitch minus wiring. We will then have the correct hitch installed by Vision Jeep and use the refund of $265.66 towards the $395.28 that it costs for the correct part for our vehicle.
