Review: On 9/13, my girlfriend and I went to Denny's to talk and eat. We sat at Table 6 and our waitress name was [redacted]. I ordered the new sauage breakfast, coffee, and the pie special; my girlfriend ordered chicken strips, chilli cheese fries, coke and pie special. Upon leaving to pay for our food, we noticed that the receipt that [redacted] provided was not what we ordered. The waitress at the cash register acknowledged and proceeded to look for [redacted]. [redacted] came out and said "I see what the issue is." Proceeded making the correction on the registered. We advised we want to split the bill to where I would pay half and my girlfriend would pay for the other half. I paid for $14.55 and my girlfriend paid $14.16. Not looking at the receipt to see if it was correct, we left the restaurant. On 9/14 I called and spoke to the manager [redacted] who acknowledged that our bill, which we did not know the total, was paid with a $100 bill. My girlfriend and I paid for the guest bill that were sitting at table 5. [redacted] advised that what we paid for was less that our initial bill, which we never knew the amount of the bill. [redacted] made it seem that I got the better deal and did not apologize for the mistake. My girlfriend personally went back to Denny's and asked for the refund and was denied. However, [redacted] offered $20 off on our next meal. My concern is that we advised [redacted] that the bill that was given to us was not our bill and it was incorrect. She deceitfully came across as though she was correcting the issue and was providing us with our bill. We walked out of the restaurant thinking she corrected the issue and giving us our bill. In addition, the manager was trying to brush the issue off as though it was not a big deal. My other concern is how many times has [redacted] has conducted this type of behavior. This is unacceptable and she should be held accountable for her mistakes. The manager should have offered the refund and provided necessary action to the employee.

Both my girlfriend and I should receive a refund and apology. We both have the receipts that were given to us with the exact amount that we both paid for. If the management there wants our return business, that would be the right thing to do.

The Manager of the Denny's restaurant called and apologized for the situation. The manager sent a $40 gift certificate for our next visit to Denny's restaurant. Thanked me for calling in the complaint and again apologize for the inconvenience that the situation caused. I was truly satisfied with the results and the issue was handled extremely professional and sincere. Please consider the case closed.
