Dent Doctor did a very poor job on the body work on my carThey did not match the colors and now my car is two different colorsThey put molding back on incorrectly and lost moldingI tried numerous times to work with them to correct the repairs, but each time they did additional damage and poor workmanshipI now have estimates from two different body shops and the estimates are now more than what it was when I first took it to Dent DoctorThey have caused additional damageI will email pictures of the poor work they did and refuse to correctWe have already been in contact with our bank

his is without a doubt the worst body shop in Reno; if you are even considering taking your car to The Dent Doctor think twice. They repaired some damage on the front of my 2012 Mercedes but they didn't know how to put it back together...they forgot to install the "transformer" on each of the headlights, fortunately I checked them before we left on our vacation; [redacted] repaired this after I went home to get the parts off the headlights they removed. They left swirl marks on the top; [redacted] insisted that they didn't do that but finally buffed them out. Then I noticed that the bezel was not on the daytime running lights; I talked to [redacted] on the phone and he said to bring it in and they would take care of it....when I got there [redacted] wasn't there and his employee said to bring it in Monday morning because the repair would take several hours since they had to remove the front bumper. I took it in this morning. When [redacted] found out why I was there he immediately became defensive; when he ask how I was going to pay for this we both became rude and belligerent; THIS WAS HIS HIS ERROR, why should I pay him again. After a lot of shouting I left totally unsatisfied. Now it is up to me to have this repair done at a reputable repair facility. The girls out front make everything sound great but if you have to deal with the owner, [redacted], forget it. He and his staff are incompetent and unwilling to take care of their mistakes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, they are not a 5 star facility as Yelp shows...they are below a 1. I also ask [redacted] for the old parts he was removing from my car; he wasn't happy about this because he sells them. I got mine back and they sold for almost $2,000., also if I hadn't gotten them back I would have had to buy about $600 in new parts; the; transformers" and the bezels.Product_Or_Service: Auto PaintingDesired SettlementI would like to have the repair done correctly at a reputable shop and receive a refund from the Dent Doctor in the amount of the repair. I will not take the car back to the Dent Doctor.Business Response EVERY body shop makes mistakes let alone every person and we take full responsibility for that, and to just outright make the accusations that our body shop is incompetent is extremely arrogant and unfair. Majority of instances where a mistake is made, the customer will come in ASAP and inform us of our mistake and we will gladly take care of it immediately. The first time Rich had come in to accuse the shop of "swirl marks" was a month after repairs had been made and the car had been returned and no notification had been made with the shop on any issues prior. His immediate response to the swirls who he claimed was the shops fault was "i could have done a better job than what you guys have done" being very rude right off the bat, we were certain the swirls were not made at the shop because we hadn't swirled a car in 18 years, even the detailer could tell someone else had done it and the customer had MENTIONED to us before that HE buffed and polished his OWN VEHICLE!!! swirl marks were made fully across the hood, something we NEVER DO! we weren't willing to argue and we do aim to please, so we took his Mercedes to the back and polished it completely without the long swirls [redacted] HAD put in, our detailer was certain he had not done the swirls and a months time is plenty to have done other unknown things to the car by the customer. Just to note, we have not gotten any complaints on swirls prior because the technique our professional detailer does makes swirls non existent! hes been doing this for 18 years, I am fully confident that he knows what hes doing and he did not put those swirls on rich's vehicle. as for the body shops yelps review, those weren't asked for or paid for, they were earned just by reputation of being around for 22 years and doing a good job,not butchering peoples cars and not knowing what were doing! we aim to please and its absurd to accuse someone who has built and made a foundation and living off of auto body collision to "not know what their doing" we must have done ATLEAST 98% of it right to have fixed 14 thousand dollars worth of damage on one vehicle! and the 2nd complaint was 2 months later because the parts that were on his fog lamps were taken by him,AS HE MENTIONED ABOVE SO HE CAN SELL HIS HEAD LIGHTS NOT US! he Took his parts before the job was finished on the car, so when he took his fog lamps the bezel and other parts needed that was attached to the headlamps that was TAKEN back by rich. so when we put his vehicle back together we were missing one trim ring around a fog lamp . its common for our customers to take their parts back AFTER we are done repairing not DURING so then we are not missing parts but this rarely happens and TECHNICALLY his head lamps where his INSURANCE COMPANIES PROPERTY. the fact that the initial repairs to this job was an INSURANCE SCAM which rich lied to his insurance company saying his car had "sand blast damage" when in fact it had not and had normal wear and tear over years of being on the road, I personally saw the car prior to his sand blast report and know for a fact its a lie and he scammed his insurance company PLUS weaseled out of PAYING HIS DEDUCTIBLE of 500!! and he had taken his head lamps so he could sell them and make MORE money off his insurance claim (another 2000 as he claimed) after telling his insurance they were no good, and selling them saying they are IN FACT..GOOD. if they were so damaged and he had to get them replaced why did he sell his old ones then? im pretty sure that's considered criminal and INSURANCE FRAUD, SO it is to no surprise what this has turned into for us. considering the xanax prescription left behind along with another prescription it looks to me as if we're the victims of the customers lack of happiness and "happy pills". we want to accommodate and work to please the customer, but that does not mean we have to lower our standards or HAVE TO BE TREATED IN ANY DISRESPECTFUL AND INSULTING WAY because the customer "always" thinks their right. As a business owner what I've learned is that there's an old saying, 98% of your grief comes from 2% of your customers..this falls into that small percentage, they don't happen often but when they do you cut them off to end the grief. we have already taken the initiative steps to try to resolve any issues with the customer and was terminated once disrespectful and insulting remarks were made to condescend the shop, its pretty obvious you cant make everyone happy, especially under circumstance as this. we did the work full and outright! paid for parts, put the time in, what can be refunded? gave a free polish when he accused the shop of "swirls" when we are 100% confident we didn't do it! given rides, helped fix any concerns at the shop! entirely unfair, especially when the customer milked over 15,000 in insurance money based on lies and deceit to fix his car and now hes going to try to make absurd claims to get MORE MONEY BACK!? ha..HA!!If he doesn't retracted his statements and be rid of his complaint in full or he can deal with the fraud division of the Reno pd, insurance fraud division, Nevada real estate division and department of motor vehicles fraud division. he has 2 days and well give the rest of the week before pursuing and be warned im a professional witness and you will not like the results- SCAMMER
