I had taken a brand new truck here to have the front two windows tinted. After having it done five times and still not a great job and still needed to be redone. After thinking over the weekend I decided to take it somewhere else to be done. After removing the tint that they had installed I noticed both of my windows were all scratched. I went back and talked to the owner and he said that it could not have been them and there was nothing he could do. [redacted]Desired SettlementThe only way to fix this is to replace both front door windows at a cost of $840.00 plus tax.Business Response [redacted]In your original complaint you have expressed your window tint was installed five times which is incorrect. To be exact you had it installed twice on the driver's side, and three times on the passenger side only due to the fact of unsatisfactory installation due to contamination on those sets of windows. As you do recall, you were here except for one installation on the drivers side which you were absent for. When you were gone the install on the drivers side one was completed and which until later was remaining on the vehicle. After moving onto the passengers side you watched us install the tint and checked over it every time after installing it to see if it is up to your standards. At the end of the installation on the passenger side, you were still unsatisfied with the install and were told to return the next day to get it redone and to wash the truck do to the fact of the contamination most likely coming from the truck (which was covered in sand from driving in the rain). You had agreed to to leave it for a day to see what it would look like after some water evaporated and stated you would be back the following day after that. The following day came around and you had phoned stating that you were unsure about having us redo the window because you thought about maybe taking it somewhere else. We explained to you to come in the next day to get it redone and you said you needed to have it back as soon as possible which just wasn't enough time frame for us with our schedule. From then you never showed up the following day for the time we had booked for you and we then phoned you to explain if you didn't want it to be redone to please come back for us to remove the tint. [redacted] You then came back to us on the following Monday with the tint removed from another company/yourself/other circumstances that make this complaint seem invalid. We had specifically asked you to come back to us to have the tint removed from the window and you chose not to have it uninstalled from us. The supposed scratches were not there when the tint went on the vehicle while you were watching the day of the installation. If those scratches would have been there tint would magnified them to see them to begin with when the tint was on. Another reason why we know we never scratched it was because all the tools that we use while tinting are plastic/rubber. [redacted]In conclusion, the scratches were not in the glass when the vehicle left our shop otherwise you would have told us about them when you were looking at it during installation. [redacted] In conjunction with this conclusion we have also to dispute the fact that we had let you leave our shop with product on your vehicle that was unpaid. We trusted you to return and when you did you didn't return with the product on your vehicle. We will not be replacing both your windows as this problem is not from our installation, it was from bad choices of not having it uninstalled at our shop. [redacted]
