[redacted], we would have gladly liked to helped resolve this matter but you decided to take it on your own to authorize a detail without intending to give us notice or a chance to see it in person. You mention (in your text) your vehicle was covered and protected (as we do in all cases) while the side...

rocker was being painted. But now you claim there was over spray on most of your vehicle. You send me a text saying it's at the detail shop due to over spray. I offered to fix it if that was the case. You ignored my request. However, you failed to communicate you wanted us to cover half until after the fact. Also, just like any company, they would want to personally see the problem themselves to confirm any issues and that's clearly our case. Sending us photos after it's already being detailed does not substitute a personal visit. On another note,  I don't hear from you for 5 days. Then today, you send me another text saying the detail is done and you want us to pay ($1000) of your $1800 detail. Not at all did we agree on your decision or come to terms about the point at issue. We have a right to see it in person and discuss any contention and or matter. Instead [redacted], you purposely went forward on your own. Our company understands if and when our customers have a rare issue, it's resolved quickly by inspecting it personally and coming to a solution from there. Sadly, you never wanted us to look at it or give us a chance which implies that we are being taken advantage of. It's obvious and quite unfortunate.-- Thank you for your interest with Dent Time.[redacted]Dent Time, LLC800-420-DENT (3368)www.denttime.comfacebook.com/denttimetwitter.com/denttime

Review: I scheduled a repair with [redacted] at Dent Time that was supposed to take half a day and ended up taking a full day requiring me to miss a full day of work instead of half a day. He scheduled his technicians to come at the same time, which required me to try and reach out to [redacted] to rectify the situation so one of them could get started and the other could come back later. Once the paint technician was finished, I discovered he painted the side skirts black instead of dark grey and he had to spend the next couple of hours repainting them.

I am not an automotive painter by trade, but after he was done, it looked great to me. A few days later I started to notice some blemishes on the paint (haziness) and it was rough to the touch. I had just had a detailer take a look at my car a few days prior to the repair to have the car paint corrected and clear bra'd and none of these marks appeared then. I took the car to the detailer to have the work done that we agreed upon and I asked him what these hazy marks with rough patches were and he said that it was clear coat over spray and asked if I had the car repainted recently and I mentioned the side skirts were done a few days after I had him look at the car. He had said that those blemishes were not on the car at the time he looked at it before as it was fairly significant, and would cost quite a few hours in labor to remove them correctly. He said that most places would just do an aggressive clay bar treatment and it would look better, but not as good as before.

I immediately messaged [redacted] and told him what had happened. He wanted to look at the car and attempt to repair it, but honestly at this point I no longer wanted to take a chance with my $100,000 vehicle. Especially since he was fairly confident that they could just clay bar it in a few hours to fix it, but that would not have repaired it back to the state it was in prior to this issue according to my detailer. [redacted]'s technician already painted it the wrDesired Settlement: They should pay for at least half, if not the full amount of repair for the damage they inflicted upon my car.
