Dental Cares Reviews (1)

I got charged 1700 in feb,Was told in May it would be samething,Then a month later they sent me additional [redacted] for 753.00Ok got a toothach in Feb 2012,Went to Dental Cares and they did a root canal,A bridge and a porcelyn tooth. My out of pocket expense was 1700.00.,As wwe was finishing up the Dr said I might as well get the other side done cause it was just a matter of time before that side started giving me fits to.I figured you kno what hes probaly right so after about 6 weeks when I had enough time to heal I went back and had other side done. Now when I asked [redacted] if it was gonna be the same price she your getting the same thing done right I said yes.We finished up I paid my 1700.00 (this amount is a ballpark figure,it should be real close). And everything was great and then much to my surprise a bout a month later I get a bill for 753.00 dollars more. When I called and confronted [redacted] she said it wasnt the Drs faught. At that time I told her we was gonna have to agree to disagree and if they sent me anymore bills I would seek helpfrom a different source. So guess what they didnt send me a [redacted] for two years.I have a collection show up on my credit from some commonwealth co.I couldnt figure out who in the world it was because they sent it in as two collections for like 400 apiece to throw me off.And thats fine its just one more shady deal they have tried to pull on me.So when I figure out that the collection is from them I dispute the collection with credit services.Guess what happens then yep I get another bill in the mail and then it all starts to make since to me.I tried to call [redacted] and reach some kind of settlement and she informed me she had already knocked 1300.00 off my bill as a token of good will,Really. If you have ever had credit issues in the past and had worked as hard as I have to restore my credit(as I have)My score is back up to 653 with the two collections they put on me.Its a very sad day when a business thinks it can just do any body any way they decide. My guess is if researched im not gonna be the first one they have treated this way. Desired SettlementI would like the collections took off my credit,And for them to call the debt paid in full as we agreed on.Business Response The patient was told, as we do with ALL patients, that insurance benefits are an estimate. If, after the claim is paid, there is a shortfall they are responsible for the payment. This patient was adamant that I said otherwise, so I did, in fact, give him the credit of $1368 for what the estimated insurance payment was but his insurance DID NOT PAY - even though I know that is not what I said, I felt it was the "gesture of goodwill". He still owes the portion of the bill that was always patient portion - $724. This man simply does not want to pay the bill for the service and product that he received. His account was NOT referred to our collection agency until today 4/21/14. It has now been referred since it is abundantly clear he has no intention of making good on his responsibility for the $724. Whatever other creditors he has not paid I cannot say. He has been referred to collection and now with the agency fees the amount that we will pursue is $1049.80
