Dental Village gave me an estimate to perform some major dental work, which I agreed toAfter they had proceeded to place a crown on one of my teeth, they discovered that there was infection in the rootThe result was that I had to see a specialist and have a root canal performed drilling into and through the crown that Dental Village placedThat resulted in an additional cost of more than $1,for the specialistAdditionally, they failed to find a cavity on the initial exam and x-ray, which resulted in another unanticipated feeAccording to them, their initial x-rays and examinations had just failed to find these problems. Then, the appliances they provided do not fit correctly, and they are now trying to bill me for another $200+ above and beyond their original estimateWhen all was said and done, between my insurance company and myself, Dental Village received more than $6,for what they didBut, I can't even wear the top partial plate that they made because it causes so much pain, while the bottom one fits so poorly that it won't stay in place when I eatI don't believe they have a right to charge me this extra feeHowever, I've written to them and spoken with them by phone, but they either stonewall me or just reply with another billTheir billing department appears to be totally oblivious and uncaring about the inadequacy of the services the company provides

Very negative experience ! Walked out even It was the worst experience I have ever had at an medical office

This is a sophisticated business model with nothing but profits in mindWhen I called to schedule an appointment I made it very clear that all I wanted was a cleaning, NOT a deep cleaning, just an appointment with the hygienist(The only reason I went to this horrible place is because my regular dentist's office was down a hygienist and couldn't get me in for an appointment in a timely matter.) The scheduler at Dental Village never mentioned that prior to a cleaning every patient is required to have a full set of X-rays (two kinds) and an exam by the dentistI was due for X-rays so I was fine with thatI asked if my insurance would cover the X-rays and the hygienist was pretty snarky and perhaps not accustomed to having her judgement questionedThe entire time she was in my presence she was talking to office staff via a headsetShe mocked me when I said, "I don't want any surprises", referring to billing The dentist was the only person I didn't think wanted to rip me off, although during his exam he did not check my gums, the hygienist did, laterShe immediately told me my gums were receding and I needed a deep cleaningI had seen my regular dentist a few weeks before this and he never mentioned any gum problems to meAfter reading other online reviews it is very obvious that Dental Village hygienists, there and at other locations, recommend the $1K+ deep cleanings to pretty much every patient Even though I haven't had tooth decay in more than years, the hygienist insisted that I needed a fluoride treatment as a "preventive measure" because I could get decay and my teeth could break downShe talked down to me as if I were a five year old who knew nothingAgain, she was visibly irritated with me because I disagreed with her recommendationsShe told me it was my choice but she and the dentist were liable and not willing to lose their licensesThis was repeated to me when another person reviewed the treatment plan ($$$) with meI asked if I could just get a regular cleaning and was told that they could "polish my teeth" but since I needed a deep cleaning, they would not do a regular cleaning because they might lose their licenses I left there furious and feeling belittledI called a friend to vent and she immediately said, "If you had told me where you were going I would've told you not to go thereThey are horrible! It took me months to get my money back from themAnd they were all rude." I will never set foot in the place againI'm sure they cross their t's and dot their i's to avoid litigation, but that doesn't make them reputableI never bother to document bad experiences like this, however, I don't want to see others get ripped off

Per my Husband "this was the worst dental experience of my years" He went in with an abscessed tooth thinking that the doctor would give him an antbiotic to take down the swelling so that the tooth could be restored Instead the sadistic dentis pulled his tooth while abscessed with little or no novacaine He requested another shot of novacaine as he could still fill pressure on his gums The Dental Assistant told him that the Dentist would give him another shot, but instead he walked in with the pliers and started tooth tourtureJust Awful!

This is one of the most dishonest l places I have ever encounteredI wanted a simple cleaning and ended up with an unnecessary root canal and extensive cleaning
When I scheduled my appointment I was told that they could only schedule an exam and xrays, since they wouldn't know what type of cleaning I would need without seeing meUm, how about the basic kind that I've been getting twice a year from my previous dentist? OK, so I go in for an exam and set of xraysWhy didn't they just do the simple set of xrays like my other office used to? Then the dental hygienist informs me that I have periodontal disease and acts like my teeth are basically going to fall out of my head in the next few yearsI've never heard anything like this before and I get regular dental checkupsPlus I was only 28!
I hung my head in shame and agreed to come back next week for an expensive cleaning that they couldn't do all in one sitting but had to do in quadrantsI was also informed that I needed to have two fillingsThose needed to be scheduled separate from the exam appointment and separate from all of the cleaning appointments
The two fillings were actually performed at two separate appointments because they ran out of timeEvery single time I had anything done in that office I was there for one to two hoursThe majority of that time was spent watching videos on my newly diagnosed PDD and waiting for someone to see me
Finally, I was on what I thought was my last appointment to get the second fillingThe dentist drilled a hole in my tooth and then informed me that the cavity and the hole he had to drill were so big that I needed a root canalExcuse me? A month and a half ago, when I had my exam, no one said anything about a root canalHow did this get so bad? Ah, because it wasn't filled right awayWhile I was attending my other appointments for my extensive cleaning it had "grown out of control"Of course the root canal couldn't be performed at this appointment either, I will need to come back yet another time for that
At this point, I had reached the maximum amount, $1,that my insurance would cover that yearDense, I know, but I FINALLY realized that I was being connedI called to ask for my xrays because I was not going to let them work on my mouth againI wanted another dentist to give me a second opinionSure, no problemWhen I arrived to pick up the xrays they informed me that they actually didn't have them, but had sent them off to another facility to have copies madeBalogna
DO NOT LET THEM WORK ON YOUR TEETH! This all happened five years ago and I am still livid when I think about itI have been to two other dentists since then and was told that I do not have periodontal disease and have never had a single cavity sinceI believe that they destroyed a perfectly good tooth and caused me to get a crown unnecessarily

They will probably say I was a difficult patient, but their way of doing business is ridiculous. Before anyone ever even looked in my mouth or took XRAYS the office manager had the dentist and a hygentist explianing what a scaling is and why I needed it and why I couldn't get a regular cleaning. Twenty minutes I sat there before I was like, "Why are we having this conversation when you haven't even taken an XRAY?" After I was finally given a list of the work I needed done and the cost, I called to set up an appointment and asked if there was a discount for paying cash. [redacted] said, "Yes, you get 5% off if you pay in full." I said ok, made an appointment for the next day. I arrived 10 mins earlier with a check from my parent. (same last name & address.) First I get the run around about the price. [redacted] says she doesn't remember having that conversation. Then I get quoted a different discounted price. I asked why was I getting a different price than the one quoted yesterday. So office manager finally says ok on the price. Then I'm told that they have to speak to my parent and get her DL because the check is not in my name and they would not even start treatment until they spoke to her. I said, "She does not answer the phone, so you'll have to leave a message and wait until she picks it up. I have no idea how quickly that would be. I do not understand why you are asking for payment BEFORE and not starting treatment. Plus she's returning to pick me up." They refused to do anything. The financial manager didn't even know how to call the bank and verify funds. I said I was not going to wait 30 minutes, especially since I have never heard of paying ahead of time and the person is coming to pick me up. So then the office manager said she would discharge me as a patient. And I said that's fine with me since I don't like the way you do business. I asked then for my XRAYS and I am surprised the finance manager didn’t give me a hardtime for that too. Sometimes a manager just needs to make a decision about what is the easiest way to please the customer. And I guess they chose to be hardnosed and turned down $4,000 in business. Not to mention that the XRAY tech kept hititng on me and even offering to floss my teeth. Gross.

Dental Village gave me an estimate to perform some major dental work, which I agreed to. After they had proceeded to place a crown on one of my teeth, they discovered that there was infection in the root. The result was that I had to see a specialist and have a root canal performed drilling into and through the crown that Dental Village placed. That resulted in an additional cost of more than $1,200 for the specialist. Additionally, they failed to find a cavity on the initial exam and x-ray, which resulted in another unanticipated fee. According to them, their initial x-rays and examinations had just failed to find these problems. Then, the appliances they provided do not fit correctly, and they are now trying to bill me for another $200+ above and beyond their original estimate. When all was said and done, between my insurance company and myself, Dental Village received more than $6,000 for what they did. But, I can't even wear the top partial plate that they made because it causes so much pain, while the bottom one fits so poorly that it won't stay in place when I eat. I don't believe they have a right to charge me this extra fee. However, I've written to them and spoken with them by phone, but they either stonewall me or just reply with another bill. Their billing department appears to be totally oblivious and uncaring about the inadequacy of the services the company provides.

Very negative experience ! Walked out even.. It was the worst experience I have ever had at an medical office.

This is a sophisticated business model with nothing but profits in mind. When I called to schedule an appointment I made it very clear that all I wanted was a cleaning, NOT a deep cleaning, just an appointment with the hygienist. (The only reason I went to this horrible place is because my regular dentist's office was down a hygienist and couldn't get me in for an appointment in a timely matter.) The scheduler at Dental Village never mentioned that prior to a cleaning every patient is required to have a full set of X-rays (two kinds) and an exam by the dentist. I was due for X-rays so I was fine with that. I asked if my insurance would cover the X-rays and the hygienist was pretty snarky and perhaps not accustomed to having her judgement questioned. The entire time she was in my presence she was talking to office staff via a headset. She mocked me when I said, "I don't want any surprises", referring to billing.

The dentist was the only person I didn't think wanted to rip me off, although during his exam he did not check my gums, the hygienist did, later. She immediately told me my gums were receding and I needed a deep cleaning. I had seen my regular dentist a few weeks before this and he never mentioned any gum problems to me. After reading other online reviews it is very obvious that Dental Village hygienists, there and at other locations, recommend the $1K+ deep cleanings to pretty much every patient.

Even though I haven't had tooth decay in more than 10 years, the hygienist insisted that I needed a fluoride treatment as a "preventive measure" because I could get decay and my teeth could break down. She talked down to me as if I were a five year old who knew nothing. Again, she was visibly irritated with me because I disagreed with her recommendations. She told me it was my choice but she and the dentist were liable and not willing to lose their licenses. This was repeated to me when another person reviewed the treatment plan ($$$) with me. I asked if I could just get a regular cleaning and was told that they could "polish my teeth" but since I needed a deep cleaning, they would not do a regular cleaning because they might lose their licenses.

I left there furious and feeling belittled. I called a friend to vent and she immediately said, "If you had told me where you were going I would've told you not to go there. They are horrible! It took me months to get my money back from them. And they were all rude."

I will never set foot in the place again. I'm sure they cross their t's and dot their i's to avoid litigation, but that doesn't make them reputable. I never bother to document bad experiences like this, however, I don't want to see others get ripped off.
