Dental Works Eastwood Mall Reviews (4)

The staff is courteous enough. The waits times border on outrageous-there were quite a few upset people in the waiting room, both times I was there. I can't speak for all the drs there, I only saw [redacted], but the first time I went there was an older gentleman that was telling the receptionist that he was going to give this one more try because the first time he was there [redacted] was very rude.Well as he did seem on the pompous side , he was not out right rude to me until the second time I was there. In had 2 teeth that needed pulled and when it came time to pull the second one he sent me out with no pain meds. Now when he pulled the first one he gave me pain meds and even though I took them like the paper said before the Novocaine wore off and ever 4 to 6 hours thereafter I still was awoken in the middle of the night in a lot of pain and had to take a pill. The Novocaine has not completely wore off on this one yet and I am already throbbing and aching. I have had a lot of teeth pulled due to the fact that I am a gastric bypass patient and I am not absorbing nutrients for some years now so my teeth have cracked on me, and I have never been sent out of an office after having a tooth pulled with no pain meds. I don't understand why you would want your patients to suffer unnecessarily?? I had to call off work for tomorrow, 8 hours worth of pay that I desperately needed. I'm already in pain now so I know I will be up all night in pain. I've never had to go through this at any other dentist. I'm sadly disappointed, I was going to spend the 1,600.00 with them to fill a few more teeth and get partials, but not now, I have already called and told them I will be picking up my films.

Review: I contacted Dentalworks to find out the price of an implant and was told that I had to come in for the free consultation to get a price because all cases are different. I went in for the free exam and I talked to the dentist and staff and let them know I had been trying to compare prices for implants and the dentist took an xray of my front missing tooth and told me my options for an implant or bridge. When I went to the front desk I told the lady I would be in touch when I decided what I wanted to do, and she told me I had to pay $97 for an emergency visit. I asked why they were trying to charge me for an emergency visit when it was scheduled as a consult, I already have had my root pulled and have a flipper. She told me they decided to only take one picture instead of a full set so they changed what kind of appointment it was. I told her that they scheduled me for a free consult and I don't know how they can change the type of visit once I get there.Desired Settlement: tell them to honor the free consult that I was scheduled for and quit trying to bill me for an emergency when they know it wasn't and they didn't do anything.
