June 13, 2016Dear [redacted] We are sorry to hear about the issues experienced by [redacted] Failure of a dental implant is a difficult experience and any number of reasons or factors, including loss of bone support or trauma, can cause itOne initial note of clarification, an implant manufactured prior to August was manufactured by [redacted] ***, Inc., not DENTSPLY SIRONA Inc("Dentsply Sirona"), although [redacted] ***, Incwas subsequently purchased by Dentsply Sirona in August 2011.We have no record of having any contact with [redacted] , however we have no reason to doubt that he has reached out to usIn any event, the [redacted] implant System is well documented with reliable clinical results with high implant success rates and the data for the product supports exceptional results for efficacy and reliabilityIn the event that there is a product defect, we clearly provide access to the product warranty as part of the packaging of the product and on our websiteOur product warranties are explicitly provided only to licensed dental professionals who purchase the product from Dentsply Sirona who then use the product(s) to treat their own patientsWe do not sell products directly to patients themselves and our warranties state that they are "not for the benefit of any other person or entity, including patients, laboratories and other intermediate suppliers."Further, the warranty requires that all warranty claims be submitted through our warranty process by the licensed clinician who purchased the product from Dentsply SironaWe would kindly request that [redacted] ask the licensed clinician who treated him to initiate the warranty process for the case and Submit a complaint record form through our websiteOnce a warranty form from the licensed dental professional who purchased the product from Dentsply Sirona is submitted, we are more than happy and ready to follaccordinglyWithin the warranty form, there will also be the opportunity for the clinician to specify any additional requests in regards to labor and chairtime fees and costs, for evaluation and consideration.Additionally, please note that as we are subject to many strict regulations and guidelines related to complaint handling, we do not discuss any product, company or clinical/case details directly with a prospective or existing patient, as our products and services are limited for sale to and use by licensed dental professionalsPatients are encouraged to discuss these matters with their treating clinician.Sincerely,Meghan S.Corporate Communications Manager
