We have taken an opportunity to review and look into the claims Mr [redacted] has mentioned There are three major things that we, being the property owners representative and the property owner have to review when deciding if they will accept a prospective tenant Verifiable income, credit score, and past rental history There are also some minor details such as pets and things that are to be consideredDue to privacy laws here in the state of California, we are not able to speak to any of the specifics with regards to this particular situation Our process for approval or denial is not based on any sort of medical conditions or past conditions Our applications do not request any sort of medical information or suggest that we would use that as a factorIf a person chooses to provide us that information it does not disregard our ability to approve or deny based on the three major factors we consider on all applicants We can find no evidence to validate the claims that Hanna spoke to Mr [redacted] inappropriately or that he was denied due to a past medical situationHanna's position at Authority Property Management is such that she does not have the ability to approve or deny an applicationPlease feel free to call us and discuss the matter furtherPlease know that we are unable to speak to any specifics about Mr***'s credit, rental history or incomeSome things we can share: Neither of these individuals has ever been to our office in person(as stated in the complaint) None of the staff in our office has ever spoken to the sonWe don't see how we can come to a resolution We can't ethically place him in a home and disregard our fiduciary responsibility to the property owner or owners we representMr [redacted] has already applied for a refund of his application fees even though we did complete the processing of his and his son's applicationMr [redacted] has sent along several off color and rude emails and we have had a few phone conversations when he has been quite rude Due to the communications and foul language of this individual, we will not be interested in doing business with him even if he met our qualifications

I am rejecting this response because: My son and I were present on every phone call together He heard every inappropriate word that *** said to us regarding my medical situation It's clear to me that we were not given fair consideration to rent properties managed by this most unprofessional company They clearly didn't like my son and I and used every means to deny our application They originally told me to apply after I explained my situation and medical circumstance When I did, *** belittled me in front of my son as if I was inadequate and was not trying hard enough...or something bizarre *** was ignorant to say that Cancer and Brain Surgeries to both of ***'s parents, should have no impact on him My son was when his mom had stage breast cancer and when I was found with a brain tumor, requiring a craniotomy Obviously, this is an immature individual who does not understand raising a family and trying to provide for a family while both parents have life threatening medical situations resulting in the loss of their home *** was completely insensitive to us and treated us, discriminately and unfairly We take this property management company as a very negative aspect of Redding, CA We hope all people are not like ***, a self absorbed individual with no understanding of people who have worked hard their entire life and ran into terrible life changing events I've owned a home since 1991, until these medical situations over turned our lives During a time where real estate collapsed and....somehow, I don't know that were alone....Thanks ***, for helping us We greatly appreciate your kind understanding to our situation We understand you mentioned a medical situation of your own Well God bless you dear We hope what happened to us doesn't happen to you and your loved ones. You will learn one day when you mature, that life just isn't about you As for you company, disgraceful how you discriminated against us, especially after we explained our difficulties You had no valid reason to deny us Many of your properly owners would have taken us, especially when we offered to pay the entire lease up front and offer times the deposit required.Your company is disgraceful, discriminatory and offensive Your lack of human compassion, was present in your voice
