Denver Moving Services Reviews (%countItem)

We relocated a few weeks ago to Florida. My wife and I are both nurses and transferred. Although we didn't have to pay for our move, we had to book it and had an allowance. Denver Moving came in well within our budget and they worked really hard for us. They made every effort to make the move as easy on us as possible. We are very thankful for all the work they did.

They were very professional and fast paced and yet very careful with my stuff. There was a small incident during the shipment of my things where one of the drivers got seriously ill, I was kept up to date and informed. My stuff was deliered to my house by the end of the next day without issues as promised. I appreciated the service. Thank you

I want to thank Denver Moving Services for your help in moving us. Two weeks ago I moved from Colorado Springs to Fort Bragg with my husband and you sent us a A++ crew. They were all very competent, considerate, courteous and professional. I could not have asked for a better moving company. The employees showed up on time and got everything packed, and loaded in a very efficient manner. They took special care of our items by wrapping them and making sure each one of them were secure. They did no damage to the walls or our valuable furniture and you could tell that they knew what they were doing. They made the move as pleasant and as smooth as moving could be! One thing that I liked in particular was that for a moving company, this place is very professional. They do everything with all the required forms, emails and phone calls. All of the representatives were very helpful and accessible over the phone. Perhaps most importantly, they tell you about all of the charges up front, so you're not surprised with extra fees at the end of the move. Thank you for your help throughout the process and for always responding so promptly to my questions. Yesterday I had received all of my belongings and they were in outstanding condition. No damage whatsoever. I am just amazed with how well this moving experience was. You were a pleasure to deal with. I definitely highly recommend Denver Moving Services and will be glad to move with you once again when needed.

We were relocating for work so we searched online and found Denver Moving Services. I spoke with a moving coordinator there and she asked me several questions and used FaceTime to help me get an estimate for my move. She was pretty accurate with the quote. I set up payment and booked my move. They arrived close to the time they said, maybe a few minutes late, but there nonetheless. Everything was handled with care and safely stored for us until our final move in. The crew was on time during delivery and very hard working. Overall, they were great and I could not have been more pleased.

I wouldn’t actually give them a star. The bait and switch must be their only business. Our $12k estimate turned into 5k more to box everything up at our home in Colorado. When the driver got here in Missouri he couldn’t unload our stuff in a storage unit business built for semis because he couldn’t make a turn. Total . They held our stuff hostage before we gave them more money, $1400 more. Please! Do not use this company. It was a st show from the beginning to end. When we tried to call our contact in Colorado they never answered the phone. We trusted *** and they had a slick website. But if you Google them it doesn’t actually exist.

The WORST moving company, Bait and switch big time. They won't come to your home, although they are local, 1st mistake, Moving estimates are done by phone, therefore it's your problem if you can't account for everything, Our 15K estimate went to 27K the day of the move!! Alon with his "professional team" of "packing experts" are already starting to pack. It's Memorial Weekend, we have to be out of our home by the 31st (this disaster started on the 29th), and we need to be in Savannah by June 3rd!! After 2 days, we are so stressed and over whelmed with this crew, we just want them gone. They finished mid afternoon Friday the 31st when we were approached by Alon regarding a "teep"!! The last thing we were thinking about was a tip for this crew with everything else going on. 2nd big mistake.....we should have known this would cost us down the road.
Our entire house was put into storage for about 2 weeks as we couldn't move into our new home until after the 16th. After many calls back and forth, we were told our things would arrive on the 23rd. Monday the 24th they showed up. It was obvious they just wanted to dump everything and get out. Had we not pressed them, everything would have been left in the garage and driveway for us to move it. We started unpacking that afternoon, we couldn't believe the amount of broken, smashed, dented beyond repair, deeply scratched items!! These "professional packers" wrapped good china 2 and 3 pieces at a time together in a piece of paper, art work smashed as no bubble wrap used, small appliances dented whereas totally unusable, the list goes on and on. Breakable items placed at the bottom of boxes with much heavier contents put on top! We're convinced our items were probably "thrown" off the truck into the storage area, remember, no tip??!! It's 3 months later, we filed a claim as we estimated over 4K in damaged or destroyed items!! We are also missing some boxes we know we will never see again. We have moved 4 times over the years and have never experienced anything like this!! If they aren't willing to come to your home for a realistic estimate, walk away. Go with a company that's national and well known. Allied came out and quoted 22K, thought that was too high, 4th mistake!!
Bottom line, if you don't care about your belongings, don't mind being extorted for an unbelievable amount of $$ and don't mind dealing with incredibly rude customer service people, use these guys!!

Received an initial quote to move our daughter to her first assignment with the Air Force to California. I was given a quote of $3500 and put a deposit down of $1100.I indicated the goods needed to be in California by August 1. The estimator suggested a packing date of July 21-22 to meet that date.
On July 20, I received a call stating the company was in the process of a big move and asking if the packing could be moved back to July 23. I agreed after I was assured it would not impact the delivery date of August 1.
When the packers arrived, the demanded a payment of $4987.20, which was $2587.20 increase over the original estimate. Part of this fee included $300 for a shuttle because semi-trucks were not allowed on the streets around our daughters apartment. We were also told the goods would be there within 21 days. When I explained they needed to be there by Aug 1, I was told they would do their best but by law, they had 21 days to deliver the goods.
I drove with our daughter to help her get settled. On Aug 1, I contacted the company and was told the goods had not even been loaded on a truck and would not begin the journey to California until August 4. Because the goods were not delivered on Aug, I was unable to stay with our daughter and had to pay $675 in hotel fees in order to have a place to stay before I flew back on August 7.
Delivery was set for Aug 10 between 1 - 3 PM. When no delivery was made at that time, our daughter called the driver and was informed delivery would be the next day around 4 PM.
Delivery occurred on April 11, but the $300 shuttle we paid for was not used. The items were offloaded directly from the semi-truck.
I have the moving estimate documents and all the emails associated with this complaint.

The response from the business makes no sense and is not at all related to the last response message I sent. Sincerely, ***

You knew the date I asked the good to be delivered. I gave you an open window as to when you could pack the good to have them to the destination by August 1. The pack date was set by your estimator Ron knowing full well we wanted the good delivered by Aug 1. You even called and asked if the packing could be moved back and I agreed when you said the goods would still be able to be delivered by Aug 1.
I totally disagree this was a long carry. I know exactly where the truck parked and the distance would be no more than if you parked the truck on a residential street and had to carry the good out of a house, down the driveway and load it into the truck. In addition, you called to say the goods would be delivered on a Saturday and when they weren't we had to track the driver down to find out we had sat around all day Saturday, only to learn the goods would not be delivered until Sunday.
As a result, as before, I am asking for the following:
I am asking that the $300 that we were charged for the Shuttle that was not used during delivery by refunded as the company said they would in their reply dated 9/25/2019.
I was also charged an additional $2587.20 for additional items on top of the $3078.58 that was quoted in the estimate. I believe this amount was excessive and arbitrary given that the few additional items we had would have fit in the back of a pick-up truck. I am asking that $900 be refunded from the $2587.20 we were charged for "additional goods.

That would be a refund of $1200 from the business.

If this is not acceptable, please come up with a number you would be willing to refund.

Sincerely

Denver Moving Services Response • Apr 25, 2019

All of our costumers receive an original copy of the contract when they book the job, as well as another signed copy by both parties the day of the move; a third additional copy is given on the day of the delivery.

If the costumer misplace or lose their copy of the paperwork we would gladly fax or email another copy per their request.

I cant say enough about how great these guys were. We had many other concerns such as transition to new home, new job etc and the last we wanted was to worry about our move and protection of our furniture. They left us speechless on how professional they were handling all of our belongings(6 bedrooms worth). Not a scratch on the wall or on our stuff. I hope I never move again but if we do..they will be seeing me again :-)

We hired this company to move us from Lakewood, Colorado to Central Florida in September 2018. We had absolutely no prior experience with movers. Please be advised that they charge by the “box”, which means you get charged for every box, large or small. They try to give you an estimate of what the move will cost you by telephone – you walk around with the phone and try to visualize the items you want moved. This might work if you have everything packed and lined up in each room. It did not work for us at all. Their estimate of the cost was $7,476.87. The final bill was $13,109.50.
They packed our goods on September 9, 2018. They seemed to do a great job and they were experienced at packing. Their Household Goods Descriptive Inventory does not describe anything. Their “Condition at Origin” in almost every instance is “scratched”, “torn” and/or “loose”. Ask yourself, if that were true, why would we pay to move them. We did not have any input for those descriptions and were put on the Condition at Origin form after everything was packed in the moving van.
On October 4th, we contacted Denver Moving Services when we were two days from our destination in Florida, as instructed by the “head” mover. When finally, we received the shipment on October 22nd, the moving van driver totally had an attitude, was disrespectful and rude. The “helper” was hired through Craig’s List that very morning. The helper was upset at the driver’s attitude, but could do nothing.
Many items were broken and/or scratched – such as the dining room table and bedroom foot board. There is no way to prove they were not that way when packed so we did not file a Moving Claim for them. We did not receive all our goods at this time. We told the driver items were missing and all he did was tell us to take a look in the moving van to see if we could identify our items. Of course we could not. We were glad to receive our goods and just wanted him out of our house.
On October 26th, Denver Moving Services called and notified us that they had “found” some additional items and would be delivering them, which they did on November 8th. We still have not received all the goods packed and/or moved by Denver Moving Services and probably never will.
This was a learning experience we hope to never experience again. We know we made mistakes working with the company, but we feel they took great advantage of us and our inexperience.
Unexperienced people should not use this company.
