[redacted] vehicle arrived on 11/7/2017 to our shop towed in by her son’s friend, [redacted].  [redacted] called us and told us her son had hit a pot hole and she would like to know what damages would cost her because she did not have insurance on her 2015 Nissan Rogue.  [redacted] explained...

to her that the damage on her vehicle, which consisted of extensive damage to the front end and her passenger door and passenger fender.   [redacted] had no idea it was that much damage and informed [redacted] that her son was driving the vehicle at the time and told her he hit a pothole.  [redacted] had stated to [redacted] that she had no money and would have to get back with us.  [redacted] was very overwhelmed with emotion and stated she had no money for repairs and she would have to get back with us.  In an attempt to help, [redacted] offered to store the vehicle at the shop and not charge her storage fees until [redacted] could figure out what she could do because she could not afford a tow back to her home at that time.  [redacted] explained that we would have to check the front end and start at that point with an estimate for repairs and that there may be more damage to her vehicle since it was a big impact to her car.  [redacted] also explained that the employees work on flag time, which consists of paid hours to them on repairs they do mechanically or body time.  [redacted] agreed to have the vehicle checked at $45.  [redacted] stated to [redacted] that we have to start by replacing the axle, hub assembly and stabilizer bar, because of they were broken from impact.  [redacted] stated that the axle was a dealer part so it was very expensive at about $800.  To start, [redacted] offered to try to find a salvaged axle for [redacted] to try to help her with cost.  [redacted] agreed.  A month passed and [redacted] called [redacted] to ask her where she was on the gathering of money for repairs.  Again, [redacted] asked how much it would be to do the minimum repairs to her vehicle because she was going to trade it in as is and wanted to be able to only drive the vehicle to the dealership.  [redacted] informed [redacted] that the salvaged part may not be available if she waits any longer.  [redacted] agreed to bring money for the salvaged axle to be purchased and she would try to gather the rest for her repairs.  Another month passed and [redacted] called and stated that she would have her sisters pay for her repairs, [redacted] paid $700 by Mastercard on 12/19/17 and [redacted] paid $730 on 1/26/18 by check.  We purchased the parts and found that her Nissan requires a magnetized hub assembly which is more expensive than the original estimate.  [redacted] called [redacted] to inform her of the new price and explained that this part is not visible until it is removed.  [redacted] agreed to the new price and we completed the repairs that she paid for on January 8, 2018.  We called her to state that her vehicle was ready for the repairs she paid for.  She stated she would be by on Wednesday, January 10th to pay the rest of the repairs. When [redacted] arrived on January 29, 2019 to pick up her vehicle we attempted to drive the vehicle to the front and noticed that her vehicle had a bent subframe due the accident. [redacted] tried to explain to [redacted] that when vehicles are wrecked 85% of the time there are always supplements that body shops have to request for collision repairs.  [redacted] spoke to [redacted] and explained that the wreck did more damage to her vehicle.   We offered to store her car at the shop until she decided what she could do with her mother’s 2015 Nissan Rogue or we could tow it her house free of charge.   We also explained to [redacted] that we work for several dealerships in Corpus Christi and we could try to see if they could help put her in a new car with this car as a trade in.  [redacted] called one of our Dealer clients and they stated they would help just to send [redacted] by and he would talk to her personally (we can provide the name and number of our client if necessary).  [redacted] chose to have the vehicle towed to her house free of charge.  [redacted] called back several times and was very upset stating we did not replace any parts.  We stated we did and that we would put them in the back of her vehicle (see photos attached of her parts).  We replaced everything she approved and paid for which is stated on her invoice.   It is also on her invoice that more repairs are needed.   Tell us why here...
