I've been trying to get all my ducks in a row for years now to build a sorely needed deck on my home. In the begining [redacted] was very accommodating and came by several times to help me put together a quote and plan. After signing a contract with him and providing a deposit... I heard nothing. I sent a text to follow up and figure out scheduling, and let him know my financing was complete on a Friday afternoon. The following Wednesday he responded, at about 9 PM. By that time I'd invited another builder out to look at the job. Hoping to be a forthcoming partner, I called [redacted] to explain and ask that he not order materials for my job immediately.
All I can say is wow, just wow. Not only was his response plainly rude and unprofessional, it was clear he was trying to say the work was beneath him. (Our job was quoted at just about 14k.) I can only describe it as a haughty little meltdown.
It was a sincerely disappointing encounter and I would warn any prospective customers against dealing with him. I'm walking away feeling like I've dodged a bullet and I look forward to finding a decent respectful person/company to give my work to.
