DePalmas Apizza

Review: On April 10, 2015 at 6:46 PM I placed an order for two large pizzas to DePalmas Apizza in East Haven, CT and was told it would take about 50 minutes (not surprising for a Friday evening). After placing the order and paying over the phone I was surprised that the price was so high ($49.28) and my husband suggested we cancel the order. After checking the menu prices and confirming the cost I called the establishment back at 7:04 PM and canceled the order. At 7:14 PM I received a phone call, that I missed, and a corresponding voicemail. The voicemail was from the person delivering the pizzas stating that he was at the house with the pizzas. When I attempted to call him back at 7:19 PM to inform him that we canceled the order and were not home, he did not answer the phone. Assuming it was a mistake, because only 30 minutes had passed since the original phone call and we were quoted at 50 minutes, we waited 10 business days to see if the money would be refunded. On April 23, 2015 my husband called DePalmas Apizza (he had the card that was charged) and asked for the refund to be processed. He was rudely told that it was our fault for canceling the order and not being home when it was delivered. However, I argue that if the pizzas were already made and out for delivery we should not have been allowed to cancel the order to begin with. This is clearly a communication problem between the employees at the establishment. After refusing to refund the money or show us any form of customer service I attempted to contact DePalmas Apizza myself to inform them that I will be contacting the Revdex.com of CT. I allowed 24 hours for Depalmas to return my call before I submitted a complaint with the Revdex.com of CT. We feel that the business should not get the money if we did not receive any goods or services.Desired Settlement: The order was fully processed on April 13, 2015 and the money was removed from the bank account. I request a refund of the full payment ($49.28) since no goods were received.
