To Whom It May Concern:
This is Dependable Auto Outlet's second response to Case ID#***. Just about everything I wrote in the first response applies here, again. If the engine was bad, I would have informed our customer that both she and I would each have to pay 50% to fix it. Our service facility took care of the issues that they found to be faulty. There is no internal issues with the engine. All cylinders were firing properly. The engine also has the proper compression. This is a used car and it is not perfect. It is eight years old. It may need a tubut it does not need an engine. I cannot fix something that is not broken. I realize our customer spent some of her money. Our company spent close to $to rectify the check engine light. I feel bad for both our customer and my company. Our company did our best to help this customer. All sales are final and no refund will take place. The car does run good. The idle issue indicates a maintenance tuis in order and that is a responsibility of the customer. She purchased this vehicle "AS-IS" with a very limited warranty which would cover an inoperable engine, transmission, and drive axle. All three are operable. Please refer to additional enclosed paperworkSincerely,

Dear *** ***,
This is Dependable Auto Outlet's response to case #***. "*** ***" purchased this car on 6/6/"AS-IS" with a very limited warranty. She came back with a problem with an "Evap Valve." This is a sensor that needed to be replaced to get the "check
engine" light to go off. Our limited warranty offered to customers is only on the engine, transmission, and drive axle. The warranty does not cover "check engine" lights. Customers sign a waiver of our responsibility for check engine lights. In good faith, we fixed the problem at a cost of $500. Unfortunately, the problem came back due to a faulty part. She brought the car back a second time and we spent another $with the proper part and labor. This is not covered under the limited warranty but we did it at no cost to her.The car now has a fluttering RPM issue. This is basically a tuissue. As an owner of the car, a tuis her responsibility. Every customer signs the section our "bill of sale" that "all sales are final." No refund can take place after a customer takes delivery of their car. Please fell free to contact us if you have any other questionsI have attached paper work stating that check engine lights are not our responsibility and that she purchased the vehicle "as-is."
Sincerely,

Review: 7/15/14 when to Dependable looking for a used car. Found one but knew I would need to transfer fund before I could pay for car. I was asked to leave a deposit check for $100.00, was told they WOULD NOT deposit it since I would be returning on Monday 7/7/14 with a bank check for the full amount. ( Dependable is closed on Sundays) After leaving I went on the Revdex.com web pageand found this establishment to be not very reputable and found another vehicle at another dealer . Returned on Monday 7/7 as planed and was told that they deposited my check and they would have to send me a check. As of today 7/25/14 I have not received a check.Desired Settlement: I want my $100.00 back.

Review: I Purchased a 2004 Volkswagen New Beetle in the amount of $5.995.00 cash . On the inspection stickers was a wavier stating something major is wrong with emissions but, the attempts draw a blank in repairing it and it is costing me over two thousand dollar to figure out the problem and the water pump and timing belt had to be replace a week and a half after purchase, costing me 700.00 which was to be fifty fifty than failed to pay. And the main reason from this complaint I was sold a vehicle that has a lien and I can not get it registered. I have been told that I don't need it and they are taking they sweet time in resolving this May 5,2013 My temp Tags are expired and they can not give me tags to use til they handle getting my lien removed. need Car to get to work could lost my jobDesired Settlement: I wish to have the title lien removed immediately and half the cost of the repairs needed to get car legal in New jersey, inspection Emission and check engine fixed, water pump and timing chain replaced pulleys and E.T.S sensor replaced.

Review: I traded my old car Toyota Camry for the Toyota Corolla that was advertized in [redacted] as a car that has had no accident, one owner,80.000 highway millage. The price was $9,500. They took my car for $1,500, and I gave them $8,000 cash money. The day I was to their location in [redacted] was Saturday, Aug. 9. They recorded everything as Augut 10. I do not know why? As I signed the sales document, I asked about them to sign also with full name. No one wanted to give me the last name. I knew that something was totaly wrong. I told them that a condition of buying that car, is to have the title, so I can register the car next week, because I had to fly to Europe to my sic mother of 93. [redacted] (with no last name) promissed me that he will send me the title right next day - Monday Aug. 11. As I got to New York, I checked with CARFAX, and I found that the car has had an accident, and had 4 owners. I callesd them right away to reverse the sale, because they were telling me lies. I was there again on Monday and I asked the local police to help me. A police officer refused even to record a complaint... I had to change my flight tickets to register the car first, and go later... Finnaly I got the title as Aug. 22. It was a lien on the car, that was satisfied on Aug. 19. The document of lien satisfaction was not taking in consideration by DMV, because is not the original. I am a Real Estate Agent and in New York if I do not tell a client about structural problem or termites of a house, I would loose my licence. How these people can do bad advertizing and so much wrong, and still be out there in the business? Pensylvannia may be another state, but it is in the United States, not a country in Europe, or elsewhere. A similar problem in New York would be solved just by a 311 phone call... Not over there...Desired Settlement: As I go to Europe for a many months, probably for the whole winter it is not possible to solve this problem now. According to the CARFAX, the last two owners of the car have had returned the car to the dealer. An accident car is not much valuable. Also 4 owners... and 89,500 miles on board... Probably a lien? I do not really know how to get out of the situation... Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear [redacted] and Revdex.com,

This reply is concerning complaint ID#[redacted] was a very nice customer. She did purchase the 2007 Toyota Corolla and traded in a 1994 Toyota Camry station wagon. She was told that the car just came in and that it was a trade-in from a new car dealer. We do not do [redacted] on any car because [redacted] is nationally known to be unreliable in their reports. She was not told it was a one-owner car or that it was accident free. We don't know this about any of our cars but we do safety check every car before we sell each. We informed her that the title was in transit through the mail from the bank to the new car dealer and then to us. She knew this at time of sale.

The bottom line is that after she got home with the vehicle, her daughter did not like the car and she, the daughter, wanted her mom to return the car. The daughter told her mom that she paid too much and the miles were too high. [redacted] is quite happy with the car. [redacted] came down on Monday, August 12, in hopes of returning the car but after we reassured her of her good deal she went home a happy buyer. She doesn't like the heat she is getting from her daughter so she is trying to find ways to return the car. She purchased a very nice car. She has the title. Her 30 day temporary plate does not expire until September 9, 30 days after the sale. Unfortunately, all sales are final. After a customer drives the car off the lot, our company cannot be held responsible for the way that customer maintains the car. Therefore, we cannot return the exact amount of the sales price. If she would like to trade the car in, we will open that door for her. We will give her a fair wholesale value towards the purchase of another car.

Sincerely,

[redacted] Ost

I got your answer to my complaint #[redacted] too late on 8/27/13 As of 8/26/13 I left for [redacted] for my sic mother, and I will be here for long time.

The Internet is bad in here and I could not open your pages on my IPad... I have recorded the conversation I had with **. [redacted] on my this iPad where he is saying to me that the Toyota Corolla he sold to me is no accident car, and the car has had one owner only. The car also has had a lien, at the time of sale. It is reflected in my new title. The car is in a garage for now, but I will have to return the car when I will be back to the US. Thank you for your understanding...

And here are the roads in a forgotten village of [redacted], and the place where I have to be for now. I am a senior citizen of 73 and I get many times to be abused or not well treated myself. As I was young I didn't believe I vill get to be marginalized... My address in here: [redacted]. Sincerely, [redacted]

When the light comes on, it does not mean to change or fix the “Evap Valve” ONLY, it also means to check the engine/transmission; this is why the light comes on. It appears that the Dealer did not check the engine because the Dealer did not want to fix it. If the Dealer would have checked the engine, they would have found what the other mechanics found; this was definitely an engine problem . If you noticed, the Dealer has stated his responsibility, but yet, he has abdicated his responsibility. In his very own statement in his own words, he said “Our limited warranty offered to customers is only on the engine, transmission, and drive axle.” He states he fixed the Evap Valve problem in good faith. He was supposed to fix the engine/transmission problem according to THEIR warranty and his statement. This is what the warranty covers. I did not want his good faith; the car cannot run on his good faith, I wanted the engine/transmission problems fixed. It is obvious that the Dealer was very much aware that the Engine/Transmission was the cause of the problems, but he opted to fix the “Evap Valve,” as opposed to the real problem, the ENGINE/TRANSMISSION.

I would like a REFUND of the total amount I paid for the vehicle $9,743.70 and all monies paid out of pocket for diagnosis and repairs, for a Total Amount of $10,568.74. The original Total Amount indicated was in error. This is the correct amount.
