Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I have attached just a few of the many pictures and messages we have on file regarding Rick C***There is an active investigation with WaState DeptOf Labor & Industries regarding Rick C*** illegally entering into a contract knowing his license was expired, which at the time was unknown to us as he presented himself as licensed through his Craigslist ad, Angies List ad, as well as his business card presented to us, and the contractOf the work that Rick C*** did, it was a homeowners nightmareThere was tape and hair on the doors he painted over, the paint is peeling off as wellThe doorjambs he painted were all incomplete with runs and voids throughoutHe spilled paint all over the wood flooring as well as never taping around the frames, causing trim paint to get on my walls as well as some of the hardwareThe new doors and door frames were very unprofessionally installed and damaged, they require completely being removed and replacedNails sticking out and bent over andnailed on between the trim and door jamsShims left sticking out so far the trim can not possibly lay flat against the wallsThere is one door that is leaning out too far causing it to hit the wood floor if opened all the way. There was also paint spilled and over-sprayed sprayed on my porch, driveway,exterior lights and garage door opener from Rick C*** painting the doors on my front porch and drivewayWhen we mentioned our concerns about his work he became very upset, zooming out through our neighborhood and proceeding to send very vulgar textsIt is no wonder he stated he has had the last several customers not pay himHe has not refunded a penny of the money he stole from us. Per the DeptOf L&I, as an unlicensed contractor, Rick C*** has absolutely no legal rightsWe plan on perusing the matter as he obviously thinks he is the victim and has no intentions of returning our moneyRick C*** personally stated he had a client file a restraining order against him,as you can see though only a couple of the many text messages we received, he is very unprofessional, rude and vulgarI have yet to find anyone, including the repfrom L&I that came out to our home, that would even think his work was anything but a disaster The attachments would not allow me to include any other documentation such as the contract, processed payment, business cards or the info from the Deptof L & II can forward any additional documents or pictures as requestedI will be able to forward a police report for fraud next week. *** ***Sincerely,*** ***

This was only a part of a substantial amount of work done to the homeIt included all new laminate flooring throughout the downstairs along with CVT Flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms, plus a third bathroom received salvage T&G Wood floor salvaged from entry wayFireplace also was
wrapped with faux river-rockThe project was bid without tax because I was told that she was to provide me with a Re-seller permitShe never provided oneIn order to avoid the tax liabilities the residual money received on the account ($1100) was applied to the sales tax, plus a unpaid amount from all the interior work that was completedShe continued calling and threatening action with the Revdex.com if I did not build her pergola to which I informed her multiple times the account balance had been applied to the outstanding balances for the previous work and I had written off the additional $unpaid for additional work already performedI have not heard from her in some time until receiving this notice from you that a complaint was files

My bond and insurance were fine. Due to a bad check in February from a customer my payments were rejected by the bank. The State suspended my license as a result and once I rectified the problem I was unaware I needed to pay the State another reinstatement fee. I have tried to always meet the State...

Contractor requirements. On a side note there was $2,300 given as down payment for painting interior doors and door trim, installing 2 interior doors, replacing front entry and rear sliding glass doors, replacement of 2 windows and installation of a tankless waterheater. The only portion completed by me was painting interior doors and installing 2 interior doors. All of which was done above industry standards and to their satisfaction up until final day when she said she wasn't happy with the painting. I asked her to show me in hopes of rectifying the problem and was shown 2 door jambs that had not been painted yet. I told her that and she insisted she was not Happy. I then invoiced for completed part of contract because material for the rest was not available for 2 weeks. The invoice was 1400 plus tax minus the half down and the additional material costs. They refused to pay and I left. I let them know approximately bwhen I would be back and was informed they no longer required my services. I then had to cancel more than $2000 worth of orders. I explained that there wouldn't be much after restocking fees, administrative fees and amount owed on invoice for work completed but I would figure it up and issue refund of remainder to which I was told they want all of it back or nothing. No damage was caused to their home the pictures attached show the quality of work done in the painting. This is just a customer that I couldn't seem to satisfy is what it comes down to it. Thank you
