Review: My car was towed and damaged by dependable and they will take no action. My car was towed from a Coach USA park and ride and pictures were taken before the tow and my car had no damage. I inspected my car before I drove off the lot of dependable and the manager would not assist so I called the police and filed a police report. The manager and employees were verbally abusive, smoking [redacted] and watching [redacted] in the shop.

Review: ON 5/12/14 AT @ 4PM CaLLED DEPENDABLE MOTOR CAR COMPANY, INC. LOCATED AT [redacted] PHONE [redacted] FOR A TOW FROM [redacted] TO [redacted] LOCATED [redacted] PHONE [redacted] WAS CHARGED 225.00 FOR TOW PAID WITH A CREDIT CARD IN ADVANCE OVER THE PHONE. DRIVER WAS SPECIFICALLY TOLD FROM [redacted] SERVICE DEPARTMENT THAT THE 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA GLS HAD AN OIL LEAK AND WAS NOT TO BE STARTED OR DRIVEN AT ALL. TOW TRUCK DRIVER WAS OBSERVED STARTING VEHICLE DRIVING AROUND IN THE PARKING LOT AND DRIVING ON THE FLATBED NOT USING WENCH OR CABLE WITH MOTOR OFF AS INSTRUCTED WHICH CAUSED MAJOR ENGINE DAMAGE. OBSERVED BUMPER SCRATCHES MAJOR AND FRESH WHEN VEHICLE ARRIVED AT [redacted]. I CALLED DEPENDABLE 10 MINUTES AFTER THE CAR ARRIVED AT FRONT END SHOP INC. WAS TOLD BY GIRL WHO ANSWERED PHONE WE DID NOT DO DAMAGE AND HUNG UP ON ME. THEY NEVER PROVIDED ME WITH AN ITEMIZED RECEIPT FOR TOW. REPORTED DAMAGE TO SOUTH BRUNSWICK POLICE ON 5/14/14 AT 6AM DEPT. CASE NO. [redacted] REPORTED EVERYTHING TO [redacted] AUTO INSURANCE COMPANY ON TUESDAY 5/13/14Desired Settlement: [redacted] IS HANDLING THE CLAIMS ONE FOR ENGINE DAMAGE AND ONE FOR BUMPER DAMAGE. AS PART OF THIS CLAIM I WILL BE ATTEMPTING TO COLLECT DEDUCTABLES FOR BOTH [redacted] AUTO INSURANCE CLAIMS AS WELL AS A REFUND AND AN ITEMIZED RECEIPT FOR MY RECORDS WHICH I CALLED AND LEFT MESSAGE ON 5/14/14 FOR. The claims are simply not true. The vehicle was at the [redacted] vehicle BECAUSE it already had engine damage due to an oil leak and was not driven by the tow truck driver but by the dealership themselves. The vehicle damages described by the owner are not physically possible with a flatbed tow truck and the owner changed the story as to what was damaged several times, first it was the quarter panel, then the bumper. The insurance representatives agree with us that we are neither responsible nor liable for any of these damages, and we feel this complaint is spiteful and untrue and spawned by the owners' anger that his engine is damaged and not covered under warranty by the manufacturer because of his own neglect. The dealership made this very clear to us and even provided documentation attesting this fact which we forwarded to the insurance company in question. And as far as the claims from the owner that he was hung up on, that is also simply not true, he had called several times screaming and cursing at our secretary and became irate when our owner was not present to take his call and HE hung up on her. It's unfortunate that this man is dealing with severe engine damage he caused and has angrily and unjustly taken it out on our company, but the bottom line is the damages he is claiming are simply not possible with the truck his car was towed with.

I am rejecting this response because:

I was hung up on over 12 times asked for an itemized receipt several times on answering machine AND WITH THE GIRL WHO REFUSES to give me her name or insurance company information, and still have not received one. I have a witness at the [redacted] dealership who told driver not to start engine and not to drive it because yes it did have some engine damage and an oil leak already, but starting it and driving it on the tow truck flatbed obviously did not help, the witness [redacted] who saw the tow truck driver start engine drive it onto flatbed can be reached at [redacted] extension [redacted] The 1st time I called the tow company when it arrived at the other facility in [redacted] with my mechanical inexperience I mistakenly told the women it was the quarter panel thinking the bumper and quarter panel was all one piece. After talking to the shops technician I was quickly corrected and told that the piece that was scraped was all part of the bumper, so I called the tow company right back and offered to text her pictures from my cell phone and asked to speak to the owner after she refused I asked for her insurance companies information and that is when she hung up on me. I repeatedly called and left a messages and talked live with the girl who answers the phone and hung up on over 12 times and no one ever returned my calls. I asked the technician [redacted] in [redacted] if that sort of scratches could come from not aligning the flatbed correctly, he said yes and that the scratches look very fresh and cars are not supposed to be driven onto flatbeds for that reason. trying to get the photos from my cellphone to computer maybe the insurance company can provide them to me via email and I can forward them to you that way. Thank you again in advance for your cooperation and as you already know this tow company already had an F rating by you and have several unresolved complaints prior to me even using them for service.
