Review: I did an online search for a plumber because I needed a water line connected to my refrigerator. The website says that the company offers free estimates for new installations. I filled out the form to have one of their representatives call me to schedule my free estimate since I have never used this company before. I received a call in the middle of a meeting at work where the representative mentioned something about the estimate but because I was distracted at work I did not totally understand what she was saying. When the gentleman came to the house for the estimate, I was still at work and my wife was told there was a $50 fee for the estimate because we decided it was too pricey and could not afford such a cost considering that I have four children and my wife is expecting our fifth child and she is unable to work. I thought that the $50 charge was unreasonable considering my situation and the fact that the job would be almost $600.Desired Settlement: I would like the courtesy of getting a refund of my $50. I would also like the wording on the website to be changed because it is deceiving to say free estimate and then charge when the person decides they do not want to proceed with the job.
