Dependable Sewer & Drain Service

Review: Called Dependable Sewer & Drain Service 8/4/15 for service the next day to unclog a sewer line. My son dug up the clean out next to the front door for access. A dormant auxiliary line also exists on the property for service to an additional garage, yet to be built beyond the foundation. The line from the front door was a longer run, but was the recommended straight shot to clear the blockage. The owner, Michael [redacted], opted to go down the auxiliary line from the garage instead because it was shorter. He inserted the snake into the trap line instead of the clean out, and it became stuck in the pipe under the garage. He disconnected the snake from the machine, left the snake line in the pipe, and proceeded to clear the line with another snake. The line was cleared and I paid $281.00 for the service. He asked that someone else dig up the garage sewer line to retrieve his snake extension. My sons did attempt this, but the line is too embedded. In subsequent conversations with my son, Mr. [redacted] had requested that I pay for his equipment that is wedged in my sewer line ($208), or he will dig it up at my expense. This is not something I should be responsible for and I want the auxiliary line cleared for possible future use. Had the snake been inserted correctly the first time, the line would not have become stuck. I can not be responsible for the equipment of a service provider and need to have the situation repaired back to normal. Currently, there is an open hole on my property that needs to be closed once the snake is removed.Desired Settlement: Mr. [redacted] will make arrangements at his expense to have the auxiliary sewer line dug up to remove his snake line and return it to functionality.
