I am disgusted with the way they have done business in the home that I rent.
We had a brand new heating unit installed and found when we attempted to turn it on the job had not been completed by another company. The rental company then called for Dependable Systems HVAC, Inc. to complete the job.
We understood the first visit to our home by Dependable Systems would be for evaluation of the situation. We expected the second visit would be for repairs.
We noticed by the third time to our home, not only was he showing up in a Jaguar every time rather than a work van, but each time he took a call he left our home with no word as to when he would be back.
After the third time he left our home and the job was not complete so I contacted [redacted] Properties to find out what was going on with the unit. They were under the impression the job was complete. When they called him he became rude and asked when he was getting paid.
[redacted] then informed him he was no longer needed and another company would be out to complete the job. He then showed up without appointment while only my daughter was there and proceeded to go to work. I felt extremely uncomfortable with his behavior, especially knowing the property company told him he was no longer needed. A professional company would not have worked without at least knowing if an adult was present in the home.
When he and I discussed this over the phone he lied and told me that the other person living in my home told him to be there at 2:30. I confirmed with the other person this was a lie.
The technician told me I inconvenienced him with my hours. I explained had he talked with me I would have been able to take half a day off work rather than late days. The discussion became heated and he told me I was in the wrong.
Randy, the technician, showed up several times unannounced and left my basement door cracked open four separate times so he could attempt access to my home whenever he chose. I witnessed this behavior first hand. Every time he left for the evening he kept the door cracked. I noticed when he would come back he would go straight to that door expecting it to still be unlocked. He would then realize it was locked ask us to unlock it.
By the fourth visit to my home he finally completed the project. He was terribly rude, unprepared for the job, borrowed my broom for cleanup, was unprofessional, lied, and smoked weed on my property.
Revdex.com contacted the business and was advised that this is a valid contract and there will be no refund. The homeowner will not allow the business back in to complete the job.
