Dept Of Veterans Affairs FCU Reviews (1)

Review: I received my Federal Tax on February 27 2013. It was deposited into my Savings account. The amount was $2,524.I had $1,400 transferred from the savings to the checking account. That same day I purchased merchandise worth $1,336 dollars. Some merchandise was purchased from [redacted] (a TV shopping network), [redacted] and [redacted]. My merchandise did not exceed the $1,400 I put into my checking account. The bank claims that I over-drafted 13 times. With each over draft fee being $28 dollars. This is impossible because my purchases DID NOT exceed the amount of $1,400.On March 5th 2013, I received my State tax for the amount of $693. With the bank claiming that I owed them fees. Three hundred and thirty four dollars ($334) was taken from my State. tax. All due to the bank claiming I owe fees due to not having enough money in my checking account.*NOTE[redacted]-the home shopping channel, holds the merchandise amount, depending on what I buy. When shipping, there's a problem with the bank because they ([redacted]) still have the holding price. The holding price is their money. It looks as if [redacted] charges double. Not the case. The bank claims the money isn't there that I shopped with. This is NOT the first time this has happened. Where I made a purchase and they charged me double. If it's possible, I would appreciate if you can go further back to 2010. When this bank (Dept of Veterans Affairs FCU) [redacted] claimed that I owed them a bunch of fees and took most of my Federal tax.I explained this the best way I could on the computer. The address I gave you is their main branch. Who I got in contact with. They did nothing.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back. That money ($334) does not belong to the bank. I don't owe them anything. My purchases did NOT succeed the amount in my checking account. How a company charges/ships their merchandise, should not be an excuse for them to charge a ton of fees. Something I-the consumer doesn't owe.
