After several complaints about roof damage, electrical problems, and leak problems under the sinks, no one ever came to repair the issues. Hurricane Mathew came and caused substantial damage to the carpet and chair in the living room. I called to report that and no one ever came. The smell from the carpet was so substantial that I had to personally pay for the carpet and chair to be cleaned myself. Months later after I complained again about the repairs I'm told by front desk staff that they had in the system that their repair guy had already resolved the issues (false). So once again they told me it would get repaired. Its been two weeks since the conversation and its rained twice since then, and still no repair nor a date to when it will get repaired. I did however get a call from the owner of the home questioning why I was late on my rent back in September (which had long been resolved but apparently not documented from Danny Hood). Apparently whenever I have any maintenance issue such as heating my home, making sure my belongings don't get wet in the rain, and making sure my home doesn't catch on fire with my children in it, don't trump being late on a payment. I can only speak from my own experience, but personally feel that this organization is only financially driven and lacking in the area of maintenance. There is also quite a bit of inconsistency and poor record keeping regarding financial matters. I definitely will no longer rent from the company nor from any owner who leaves their home in the care of Danny Hood Realty. Also any organization that is willing to start an eviction because repairs are needed and hide behind a lease violation that could be resolved around Christmas (knowing that small children live in the home) is deplorable in my eyes. Most people don't speak out against large companies out of fear, and it is time that we start speaking against these landlords that refuse to effectively fix the properties.
