Tell us why here...January 20, 2017 Revdex.comComplaint #11933434[redacted] We have reported all information regarding this claim to USAA Insurance, with a complete explanation of the services rendered and the conversations we have had with both Mr. [redacted] and [redacted]...

[redacted].  At this time, we are not charging USAA Insurance or Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] for our services.  We are not paying for any additional damages as we did not cause the roof to leak. We did what we could to attempt to prevent additional damage to the home. The roof was too dangerous to go on because of the amount of moss and moisture on the roof (photos can be provided). The risk of causing injury or death to one of our employees to cover the roof is not a course of action this company takes.   The email and notes below were sent to USAA Insurance Program on January 12th, 2017 as well as the email to Mrs. [redacted].   USAA INSURANCE NOTED IN THE SYSTEM PROGRAM: Spoke to the member today. She was stating that it was our fault there was additional damage to the home. She stated that we told her from the beginning that the roof didn't need to be covered. I let her know I would check into this matter and get back to her. I left her a voicemail and sent her an email as well. Email is below: Email Sent to [redacted] Hi [redacted], I have completed checking in with everyone. I spoke to [redacted] who was the first person that came out to your home. He let me know that he met with your husband on Sunday and explained that the roof was too dangerous to cover at the time they were out there. Your husband said not to worry about things that he had a friend that was a roofer and that he would be able to check things out. I met with you on Tuesday and relayed the same information to you that the roof was too dangerous to cover due to the moss and moisture. At the time of my inspection we had a small break in the weather so I was able to get on the roof to take a look. I wasn’t able to get right over the damage area, but close enough to get some photos. I explained that the roof would either need to be covered or fixed. I let you know that I would check in with our roofers to see their availability and get back to you. On Wednesday [redacted] gave you a call. I’m sorry if he had the wrong information when he called as someone had put a note on your file that a roof tarp was not needed. He did let me know that you stated that you already had the roof taken care of by someone. I understand that you are not wanting to put in a claim and would like to keep costs down. I have attached an estimate for the repairs based off my first inspection. I would need to come out to assess the additional damage that occurred and see what we can do to keep costs down. I would like to get someone out tomorrow to address the additional wet areas. Please let me know if you are in agreement. I left you a voicemail with this information as well. Thank-you, [redacted] Provencal, CR Five Star Restoration [redacted] office [redacted] cell   If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. 916-631-1693.   Sincerely, [redacted] Operations Manager Five Star Restoration & Construction, Inc.
