After paying my copay for my office visit which was satisfied upon leaving, they want $25 more stating they did not charge me enough. After paying my copay for my office visit which was satisfied upon leaving, they want $25 more stating they did not charge me enough.I paid with my [redacted] card and the receptionist accepted, processed my payment according to my insurance card and obtained a receipt. Now they say it was processed incorrectly and state I owe $25 more dollars because they made a mistake. Persistent regular "Pay $25 this amount" letters. I called after the first $25 notice and they receptionist ([redacted]) said "I show you as paid that day" but offered no solution as to why I got a letter. I figured the monthly letters would cease due to a glitch. I received a call today, 9/21/2015 by a woman demanding $25. I explained the situation but her posture was one of "well the insurance copay was calculated incorrectly and you owe us more and we accidently charged you on a previous copay amount that we thought it was"..."and I'll have to take that up with [redacted] (manager)" I told her I respected her role but the office visit was paid. If I have to go to court or hire an attorney for such a insignificant amount, I would based on principle. Desired SettlementClear the $25 charge, period. I would like to continue to speak positively about the many medical staff who I know there, but their billing department/front desk staff should obtain customer service training. If a restaurant called 8 months later and said "you underpaid by $2 for that steak dinner back in April", I'd hang up. I made my copay, period. I'm hanging up now. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Office ManContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]The $25.00 balance was the result of a change in his insurance carrier and our practice not knowing this had been done. Once we resubmitted his claim with his correct insurance carrier there was a new balance due of $25.00 based on what they did not pay. He is more than welcome to continue to be our patient and we have written off this debt.Consumer Response I accept this response. Thank you for writing this off. I would like to continue to ise your medical services.Final Consumer Response
