When asked what the associated fees are regarding mole removal, the associates state they “do not know,” and that a biopsy is necessary only “if” the dermatologist considers it necessary.
However, during the evaluation, the evaluator stated that the company’s policy requires “every mole that is removed to be biopsied,” which costs $250.00 per biopsy. Additionally, he stated the price information should have been furnished, especially since I asked.
Although, prior to the appointment, I asked what the associated fees were for mole removal, the associates said they did not know, while stating a biopsy would only be conducted of the mole, if it was considered necessary: implying only the moles that appear cancerous would be biopsied.
Withholding the information is unprofessional and unlawful, because the question was asked prior to the consultation.
Therefore, a complete refund is necessary in order to resolve the matter.

On February 11, 2019 an email was sent to Mr. in regard to his inquiry about pricing for a self-pay patient. The following was emailed to him "I would like to inform that the self-pay consult is 95 and if there is a biopsy that will be 250 per site, however the 95 will be deducted from the total price. Please let me know if this helps you in any way." All information was provided to Mr. no reply was sent back with any other questions. No issues were stating until after Mr. was seen by provider. Please let me know if there is anything else, I can help with.
I am rejecting this response because:
The response is not only significantly tardy, but also misleading, as it ignores the context of the matter.The letter states “if there is a biopsy,” while referring to “mole removal,” as I wanted a mole removed.Although I asked what the minimum associated fee would be to remove the mole, the representative stated that a biopsy would be done on the mole if the doctor deemed it necessary. However, after speaking to the consultant, he said that I should have been informed that the company’s policy is that “every mole that is removed is required to be biopsied.”Therefore, please provide a complete refund, as you were not upfront with the associated fees when I asked what the associated fees were regarding a “mole removal.” You didn’t tell me that the company’s policy is to biopsy every mole that is removed, but you should have, because I specifically asked. However, rather than furnishing the requested information, the representative gave a general response, even though my question was specific, which is misleading, unprofessional, and unlawful. Thus, provide the refund.Thank you.Sincerely
