Review: Also this may involve the NYtimes subscription service that offered a free trial of a skin cream or some other product because I renewed subscription. I got the cream once and then a charge for $98.00 appeared on my credit card statement and my sharp cc company noticed unusual activity. I called dermatrol and they said I signed up to have their product delivered and that I should have read their website.I was pretty firm with the woman I spoke with and I asked for: a complete closure of "my account" with dermatrol (which I did not know existed)anda refund of the $98 they billed to my credit cardWe shall see if they do it. At this point I will give them three days (their time frame) to refund the money to my account. I think you should know about their scam-ish practice of the "15 day trial" that really means "you are signing up to a lifetimes supply of this cream until you end it" - It is bait and switch in my mind.Desired Settlement: I will give them three days (their time frame) to refund the money to my account. I think you should know about their scam-ish practice of the "15 day trial" that really means "you are signing up to a lifetimes supply of this cream until you end it" - It is bait and switch in my mind. I may make another answer to "how would you like this matter resolved" if in fact they do not give me a refund and/or my credit card company was not able to prevent the payment. Others beware -avoid DERMATROL.

Review: Co = [redacted], same address as noted on your site, [redacted]. I ordered a sample of two of their products. I believe the on line advertising this company uses is misleading and I believe predatory. There is absolutely nothing "free" about it. May cost shot from $8.90 of $179.70 and in less than a month to a total of #359.40. I called their 800 number 877-904-4098 listed on packing list and spoke with [redacted] who was able to supply a cancellation number [redacted]. I repeated and confirmed this number with her. She was unable t supply my multiple requests for a return authorization number and address for unwanted, unrequested product. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told supervisor was on another call. [redacted] offered to refund my account at various percentages with the highest offer being 50%. I advised her I wanted a full refund. She then advised me that she had connected with her unidentified supervisor and was told I could throw the product out and did not need to return it. I again advised her I did not want the product and if she could not supply a return number and address I would not be responsible for product payment. Throughout the conversation she was loud and talked over me instead of listening attentively and then replying. She continued to state she could not supply return numbers for products. I advised her that I was not going to continue the call any further because of her rude customer service, not listening to my concerns, advised her if she continued in this manner I would and then did terminate the call. I received two calls from 877-300-3098 immediately after I terminated the call. There was one minute between each call. [redacted] left a voicemail with the second call. She stated I could call back if I did not receive the cancellation number during our prior conversation. I did not return her call. I would appreciate your review and written reply.Desired Settlement: I want my monies returned. I want this company shut down.

Review: The on-line advertising this company uses is misleading and I believe, predatory. There is absolutely nothing "free" about it. My cost shot from $4.95 to $201.59 in less than 1 month. Feb 3 - March 14THEN,Yet ANOTHER $98.37 charge was attempted by Dermatrol against my credit card on March 17th. (bringing the total charged to my card up to $299.96)This occurred AFTER asking that no further charges to be made.I've made several calls to their 800 number, but no answer. I have contacted my bank and obtained a payment dispute form to submit. My credit card has been cancelled.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of all except the initial $4.95 since I did cancel the automatic shipping of the product. BUT, my credit card was charged repeatedly, anyway, even after I cancelled. (And I have not received these shipments!) The amount to be refunded is $295.01. And since it cannot be refunded to my card (it has been cancelled) the refund should be in the form of a cashiercheck made out to [redacted]

Response:

Review: I ordered a trial sample of Dermatrol Facial Serum for the cost of shipping only. There was no firm indication of any further cost unless positive results were achieved and more product was ordered. On 2/27/2014, I was billed the $ 4.95 for shipping the trial. On 3/18/2014 (19 days later), I was billed $ 98.27 for the trial merchandise. I cannot determine any way that I would be billed for the full cost of the trial. On 3/29/2014 (11 days after first billing), I was billed $ 98.37 for another shipment which I am yet to receive. According to the website, an email would be sent for authorization of each further shipment. If the email was not answered, no shipment would be made. I did not get any such email for me to ignore or reply. The only authorized payment was for the $ 4.95 trial order. When I called the number for Dermatrolskin on the card debit listing and was told that the trial was for 15 days, then full price was due. That was not clearly indicated on the trial order form. If that fact had been known, the initial order would never have been placed. I am now out $ 196.64 that was not expected nor desired. In fact, the product caused my face to break out. When revued carefully, the web site did intimate that an ongoing subscription was entered, but this was not clearly indicated.Desired Settlement: Will gladly return all product to the company in return for refund even though the web site indicates that no opened product will be accepted as a return. How do you try a product without opening the bottle? I just want my money back.
