Deroma Waterfront Cottages

I booked two 3-bedroom cottages at Deroma Waterfront Cottages in 2018 for an event that was cancelled and happened this year instead. When I booked I chose the dates from last year in error (July 12-15).
When the guests arrived at the cottages on July 11 they were let into the cottages and I received an email later that evening indicating that we had arrived early and that a revised bill would follow. I wrote back almost immediately and indicated that I had booked from July 11-14, to which the email chain showed the July 12-15 dates. I apologized for the confusion and requested to modify the booking from the 12-15 to the 11-14 as there was vacancy on the 11th which was not expected and the manager (***) indicated that he would be losing money so he had to charge for an extra night.
My complaint is with respect to the communication, handling of information and unfit living conditions of the cottages. The cottages had no hot water for 24 hours, there was no wifi on day 1, the sink had air in the pipes which caused the water to spray everywhere and finally there were gaps at the tops of the window panes allowing hundreds of mosquitos into the cottages. Only one cottage could be occupied on July 11 as a result.
*** and I had a discussion about the extra night charges and the issues with the cottages and did not come to any agreement on the stay. He asked for my credit card info by email or text which I said over the phone or in person would be better. When I gave my information I thought the payment would have gone through right away and a bill to follow as requested. The charges on my card were put through 24 hours later after he called my cell phone and left a voicemail dictating all of my credit card information which breached my privacy and there was no bill for me to understand until two days later. I tried calling and emailing multiple times. He picked up and hung up his phone one of the occasions and ignored the other.

The cottage was not fit to stay in and my privacy was breached.
