On 1-20-i got a mail from this business that I owe them some unpaid bill and I called ASAP for confirm that I did not open an account with them and it is for sure an identity theft situation
As I was talking to the Sales rep she did not want to co operate and wanted me to go in to their office
at the office they had may name and address but not any other document what so ever
she asked me for my drivers licence and I asked if she have a copy on file,
She said she did not make a copy
then I asked if the cameras are recording in the office and the answer was No and they are not
I asked her to get my name off the storage and report it to the right people to get help
she did no t have any contact number for the person who opend the storage under my name and my point for this complaint is about negligent and carelessness of what can happen to me and my credit
I filed the report with the Police and its pending , but this type of businesses should not be trusted

We rented a storage unit on 12/15/to an individual who had in their possession a California driver's license in the name of the ComplainantHe later contacted us and advised that he did not rent the unitWe suggested that he sign a "Property Release", which would take the unit out of his name
and allow us to dispose of the contentsSince the unit is in his name, we would recognize his request to vacate the unitHowever, he declined to sign the ReleaseAt this point, the unit is in lienThe contents will either be disposed of or scheduled for public auctionIf he wishes to conclude this matter sooner, he can still come in and sign the Property Release at any timePlease note that we did advise him that we do not report to any credit reporting agencies, so there will be no adverse effect on his credit, and we do not expect him to be financially responsibleWe understand that this is frustrating for him, as it is for us, however unless he wishes to sign the Property Release we are bound by state law on how we must proceed
