Des Moines RV

Dealing with Des Moines RV over the weekend of October 21, 2016 thru October 25, 2016 has been a horrible experience. The salesman Andrew I. lied to us the entire time telling us that our bank would only approve us for a certain amount when the only thing the bank did was deny us for a higher amount. He tried to push a camper on us that we didn't want and when my husband finally asked how much Andrew said we needed $2,400 down this is after he had us write a check to hold the camper we wanted (which is the one we were denied for) and he never even put us in for a different loan amount to try for another camper. Today the check has been cashed knowing that we were not going to be getting a camper from them and that the only camper we wanted a hold on was the one we were denied for. I have sent 2 emails to this business.

My review covers the experience I had when going to Des Moines RV for the very first time. I felt it was a very positive experience. I didn't feel pressured or rushed in any way. The sales person that approached me was very knowledgeable about the products that I was interested in (Class C motorhomes & 5th wheels) and very helpful especially when I explained I was just starting jto look to possibly buy either a Class C or 5th wheel. (They were the first dealership in Des Moines that I had been to) Once the sales person learned that they didn't just drop me or try to steer me toward a more expensive Class A as I have experienced at other dealerships. He asked me a few questions to get an idea of what I was looking for in either of the types of RV's I was interested in and then he showed me what they had available on their lot at this time. When I was done looking I walked away with a little more knowledge about their products and a very comfortable feeling in possibly doing business with them in the near future. Thanks to that one experience with them I feel more comfortable in my search for an RV as I am a newbie to the RV shopping experience. I don't know if the Revdex.com allows you to use a specific sales persons name or not or if it would be against this particular dealerships policy. If I did know it was alright with both of them I would have mentioned the salesperson by name. The person that helped me at Des Moines RV was very, very helpful & personable. It has been a positive experience working with them up to this point. If by some chance the owner or the salespersons boss happens to see this , tell Chuck I'm looking forward to possibly working with him in the near future.
