DeSantiago Auto Sales Inc processed a repossession on the 28th day of July 2014. Due to a past due balance of $1633 that was supposed to be paid on the 13th of July.  Here are the reasons we felt it was our duty to repo the vehicle. Days after her payment was due, we tried reaching her cell...

phone but then realized it was disconnected. After being repossessed She then later explained to us that she got a new number without letting us know. My manager then followed up and began calling the references, going down the list many of them were no good. One even said to stop calling because they didn't want anything to do with her. We took the next step and sent an employee to the address she gave us, and she wasn't living there for the past three months. Right there, she also didn't let us know she moved until she was repossessed. We began running skip traces to see where she was staying. Which involved the business to spend money to search for our vehicle that we had no clue where it was. These are the reasons we felt why the repossession was necessary and can not release the vehicle with customer stating "payment is in the mail". As of today's date (8-6-2014) we still have not received a payment that was "in the mail" according to[redacted]. If we would have complied with the customer to release the repossessed vehicle because the check was in the mail(july 30th) as of today (Aug 6th) we would have still not received no payment.

The vehicle is sold "AS IS " The original purchase dates back to March 17 of 2017. Customer did return to our service dept. for issues with the throttle body valve in July of this year. Our mechanics reprogramed her computer and cleaned the part in question. Our mechanics...

also noticed the vehicle returned with extensive front end damage. The damage pushed the front fender back causing the door to  bind up making it hard to open the door. Our staff pulled the fender forward allowing the door to open freely. The vehicle again returned with throttle issues in August of this year, Five months after the purchase date. Mechanic advised customer it would be best to replace the throttle body but the cost of parts would be customer responsibility. As far as issues to with over vehicle over heating and hangers holding the exhaust we attribute all these issues to the damage from it being involved in a collision. We stand by our customers , and fully understand if our  customer are not happy we are willing take it "as a trade-in" for a vehicle of their choice but it must be a bank financed deal. Customer has been a delinquent and slow payer. I will enclose  a signed copy of " Buyer Guide "

Customer purchased the vehicle on December of 2015. Vehicle only have a limited warranty of fifteen days or five hundred miles. The timing of this complaint has exceeded the limited warranty of the vehicle. As stated in the previous statement we have tired to help the customer as much as we can as a...

business. We pride ourselves in providing great customer service and will help repair the vehicle at a discounted rate. In addition we have previous worked on this vehicle prior to this complaint and he currently has a unpaid invoice pending with our mechanic shop.
