Personal property missing in taxi On August 14, 2018, I was picked up at home by Desert Cab for transport to [redacted] After exiting the taxi at the airport I realized I had left my purse in the back seatI immediately contacted Desert Cab and the dispatcher put out a call for any driver that had just dropped off at [redacted] to check the back seat for a purseI waited thirty minuets at the airport but I was not contacted by Desert and the driver did not returnI took another cab home and contacted Desert Cab again who said they had contacted the driver who said he had another passenger after me and the purse wasn't there; on the trip to the airport he told us it was the end of his day and he was going home after dropping us offI immediately started contacting credit card companies and banks to stop any purchases I had approximately three hundred dollars cash in my purse, a diamond necklace and diamond earrings, my driver's license and social security card and numerous
We were overcharged and not brought to the right hotel There were five of us needing a cab from downtown [redacted] to the [redacted] The driver (cab #***) took us on the freeway and we noticed the cab started smelling like hot electricalHe then said his cab was about to break down and he needed to stop and let us outWe got dropped off at the [redacted] and he charged us $dollars for the rideIt took us more hours to get back to our hotelThe driver was rude and didn't even try to get us another cabHe said this has happed to him in the past with his vanBesides the fact that we were overcharge (shouldn't have even been charged at all since we never made it to our destination), we had to spend the next hours walking to our hotelThis is a horrible way to run a business and is unacceptableWhile on hold for an hour to complain the following day, I finally decided to contact the Revdex.com instead
Told driver where we wanted to go, took longer route on purpose We took the cab from airport to our hotel, told driver we were meeting family for supper, and had to get there soon, and to not take freeway but a direct route to hotel He promptly got on freeway, and our drive took nearly minutes, and although the guy at the airport said a cab to our hotel would be dollars, our bill was over I attempted to speak to the driver, about where he was going but he spent his time while driving on the phone He not once signaled for a turn that I recall, and I felt scared He also went through some additional construction to increase the fare cost I would like a refund of my fare
