I found Desert Computer Solutions through a [redacted] ad when I was looking for an inexpensive iMac to do some IT training with. When I got there I was disappointed to find out they had no more left in stock but the sales tech was willing to sell me the floor model they had on display when I asked him to do so.
The price was $399 and I immediately noticed that the computer didn't have the same storage that was advertised but it really didn't matter that much to me. When I got it home I had some Apple ID issues with the PC and wasn't able to use some basic features since this PC had been set up with a different ID than my own.
Sunday, the next day trying to troubleshoot the issues with Apple Support I quickly found out that I couldn't download the OS X to reinstall it myself, probably due to the mismatch in Apple IDs and would need to install from another disk. I also discovered that the computer I received didn't have all the specs listed on my cash invoice and immediately thought this was a "bait and switch" so I started shopping the specs on [redacted] and [redacted] and found that I may have paid $50 to $100 more than I needed to.
I was willing to keep the PC if I were to get a discount but Jennifer explained that they have a one set price for all their 20"iMacs regardless of the internal specs. After negotiating with her via email she agreed that I could return the iMac for a full refund even after I had wiped the entire thing clean and it needing a complete reinstallation.
Their store policy is that every customer has the ability to test the computer before leaving the store and all sales are final. Since their showroom is kind of small I would recommend you bring a chair and sit down and drive the computer for a half hour, open everything you can, re-boot and check to see if your Apple ID allows you to open iMessage or Facetime.
This PC was a funny duck and was for showroom display only so I do not believe that they could have known about my Apple ID issues or the discrepancy in the invoice since they were out of stock on that model and believe it was an honest mistake.
Thank you [redacted], it is very refreshing to find a small company that will stand behind their products and I applaud you for the customer service I received.

I’d like to thank this business for their customer service. I went in to look at their used computer selection and found a nice shop and great prices. I bought a used PC and went away happy enough. Once home I found that it wasn’t running as well as I'd hoped. I called and explained what was happening and they said to bring it back for repair. They attempted a fix that, once started, would probably not have been completed the same day, so without hesitation they exchanged machines. This was actually an upgrade on what I’d purchased and it was done at no extra charge.
This is going out of the way to help a customer. I was prepared for the usual, ‘you bought a used item take what you get…’. It’s nice to find a business that cares about what they sold and how the customer feels. Anyone I know who needs a lap top, PC or repairs will be directed to these professionals.

Review: On 9/18 I purchased two computer monitors from this establishment. Both monitors powered up independently. I told the salesmen that I was going to hook these monitors up at home so I could use two screens while working from home. The only problem is that both of these monitors hook up with vga cables and the docking station can only display to one docking station. This rendered one monitor unneeded.

I returned to the establishment around 1pm on 9/25 to return the monitor I did not need. I met with the same salesmen from before and they refused my return. He stated they have a no return policy. This is an unacceptable business practice. Any reputable retailer would take care of their customers in hopes of a positive customer experience. Desert computer solutions is not a reputable retailer and will steal your money.

Disgusted by their refusal to satisfy the consumer and having no need for the monitor I left the monitor at their establishment.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund. They are in possession of the product.

I have received email soliciting my desire to find Windows XP software. I called them to purchase the software package and was told "They do not sell software." They went on to say "We have computers with the XP on it if I want to buy one." A complete misrepresentation of their email flyer! I don't like companies that pull the old "Bait and switch" practice on potential customers!!!!!!

[redacted] is my HERO. I got a new Sony Vaio laptop and inserted an adapter which I thought would fit okay (like my previous HP) but turned out it didn't. Went to [redacted] to get help to remove it and they there was not helpful at all - he would not even touch it - said I would need to leave it there for a $100 minimum fee and said they would try not to damage my pc. I was very disgusted and I left.

I just happened to do a Google maps search and found Desert Computer Solutions and thought I might as well stop in - WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE! I lucked out and within 15 minutes they had removed the broken adapter from my pc and there was NO CHARGE.

I will never go to back to [redacted] again, and have to agree with the other reviews stating pride of workmanship. Desert Computer Solutions gave me great service and set me on the road again, and I very much appreciated their time and appreciation of my time in stopping by. I highly recommend them due to the caring and expert service I received.
