Mr [redacted] contacted me the middle of 2013. He had issues with two computers (a laptop and a desktop). He had purchased the laptop from a computer store to replace the older desktop. The laptop was not working correctly and the retail store he purchased it from was refusing to deal with Mr [redacted]....

Perhaps I should have read between the lines. I went to Mr [redacted]’s location and worked on his older desktop, removing the many viruses he had on his system and generally speeding up the system so he could use it while I fixed the laptop. Mr [redacted] called and asked me to purchase two new computer mice when I returned the laptop, as his were failing. After my visit, both computers were now fully operational with two new mice. Mr [redacted] said that he could not afford to pay me at that [redacted]e as he was having some ‘financial issues’. I let the non-payment go on this, and two subsequent occasions as Mr [redacted] is elderly and his computers were his outside world. Mr [redacted] called me on several other occasions to return and fix more computer issues, which I did willingly. With my $25 call out charge, Mr [redacted] owed $114.00 from the first three visits alone. On my third visit he paid me $25. I went to Mr [redacted]s location a total of 5 [redacted]es over 2013 and he paid me an additional $25 on one other occasion. Each [redacted]e his desktop and laptop were in working order, but Mr [redacted] considers himself a computer expert and the failures of his systems are due to Mr [redacted] attempting to fix issues which are not there. Mr [redacted] called me a 6th [redacted]e and asked me to visit to fix his desktop. But this [redacted]e Mr [redacted] wanted the service immediately. I said I couldn’t go at that [redacted]e as I had other appointments, but would log into his system remotely free of charge later that day to see if I could fix the issue. Mr [redacted] refused and said I had to visit immediately or he would report me to the Revdex.com for poor service and would not pay me a penny more until I fixed his PC’s once again. At that [redacted]e I refused to complete any more work for Mr [redacted] and wrote off the more than $100 he owed me, even though the actual figure in [redacted]e and travel was far higher. I apologized to Mr [redacted] and said I would no [redacted]er maintain his PC’s for him as I would not be blackmailed. Mr [redacted] then hung up the phone. Hope this helps.[redacted] Desert Data Recovery, LLC.

I have attached an email from Mr [redacted] dated January 15th where he agrees that he owes me $49.40. I subsequently visited Mr [redacted] on two occasions since this email for which I did not receive payment. When Mr [redacted] called me to visit a third [redacted]e, I offered to log into his PC remotely to solve any issues. Mr [redacted] refused. When I could not visit Mr [redacted] that evening, he threatened to take me to court and now continues down this course of action of threats and bullying. Mr [redacted] has received services and products he has not paid for. Mr [redacted]s PC is a 10 year old Windows XP machine that is just not up to the task of modern computing. I wish I could offer Mr [redacted] some sort of restitution, but his attitude makes that impossible. Best regards [redacted]Desert Data RecoveryFrom: [redacted] [mailto:[redacted]] Sent: Wednesday, January 15, 2014 11:39 AMTo: '[redacted]'Subject: RE: Desert Data RecoveryHi [redacted] Yes I did get the transaction through. That is the $25.00 detailed below. Thanks [redacted] Desert Data Recovery, LLC. T: [redacted] www.[redacted]From: [redacted] [mailto:[redacted]@yahoo.com] Sent: Wednesday, January 15, 2014 10:49 AMTo: [redacted]Subject: Re: Desert Data RecoveryHI [redacted] thank you! I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Mr [redacted] was paid over $175.00 and is the biggest fraud and liar on earth as well. In fact I even ask for and received emails from him showing these payments as well Clearly Mr [redacted] does not know how to do math or bookkeeping correctly! Thefore I totally reject his incorrect resolution nonsense and intend to take any all appropriate further legal action needed. Regards,[redacted]

My hp usb thumbdrive won't let me open unless I reformat. I took it to Desert Data Recovery. [redacted], the owner was very patient in explaining his process. He did recovered the file but it was corrupted. He didn't charge me anything per his business motto "no data, no charge". That is rare, most charge a diagnostic fee from $75 up.

Review: The Desert Data Recovery Sr Technician [redacted] failed to properly repair both of my computers and has been paid well over $150.00 already and todaydemanded even more money for additional repairs before he would work on itagain, even though his so-called repairs failed to fix both my laptop and my desktop and kept whining & complaining 'about driving 20 miles' to come here and fix them properly and even hung up on me today. My computers were among those envolved in the recent Target Security Breach and still have not got a replacement Debit Card from Direct Express-[redacted],and so I cannot access my credit card account to pay him anymore money or pay formy Insulin and other prescriptions or buy food or pay any of my other bills,so therefore how can I pay him a[redacted] with the fact,it appears that[redacted] is either totally incompetent or trying to run a scam on me. Since he promised to come back this Friday and now refuses to do so unlessI pay him even more money and I cannot and refuse to do so,in view of hisfailure to fix these computer problems. Please investigate and help me.Desired Settlement: The desired settlement is for [redacted] and his Desert Data Recovery outfitto come back and properly repair my two computers as he agreed he was to do so,and at no additional charge or fully refund ever bit of the money that he and Desert Data Recovery has already been paid by me. And,if need be I also will not hesistate to take all possible legal action needed, inadditional to this Revdex.com Complaint if [redacted] dba Desert Data Recovery fail to live up to their contract and promises.
