I went to best buy to buy some things I needed and I met Cody and his girlfriend at best buy as they were looking for the right type of laptop to help organize their business I explained to him what type of lap top he should get that was cost effective for his business and upon finding out he was a masonry business I had him bid on my project I needed completed for my home On June 29, we signed a contract and hired Cody Bradley Masonry to complete a cement sidewalks adjacent to our driveway and house as well as removing to windows that leaked and replace with brick and face off the upper part of the foundation In his contract he quoted a price of $with half down before work would start and the work would be done by July 14, so we paid him in full thinking it would get it done faster He was very professional when he came and bid on the project and seemed to have a solid background in what he did as he explained what he would be doing This is where his professionalism stopped As he only showed up days during those weeks and attempted to face the foundation and brick the windowsHe was not here more than hours both days When I looked at what he had done it was not level, and not complete The two windows are unfinished inside with large gaps at the top of the openings on the basement side and they still leakWhen we called him to see when he would be out to finish he would always have an excuse This went on for several weeks and still no word from him except a text that said he would be out that week on this day or that day promising he would get the job done My husband and I both took vacation days to be here when he said he was coming Throughout the months and exchanging many texts he kept telling us he would come finish He gave us many excuses, but in the end we had to call the police and report him for contractor fraud Finally in October we gave him one more chance with the police approving that if he completed it we would drop the charges He had several weeks to complete the work with warm weather to make it easy for him and each time he would promise to come finish and then never show Finally we had had enough and attempted to call with no response and sent him a text saying we are done and want our money back as per the breech of contractCody is a very irresponsible person and a very poor business man I recommend to NEVER use him or his company for any jobs! His dishonestly and leading us along after we gave him chance after chance to make things right shows he does not care about his customers and takes their money with no regard of completing what he promisedWe are now pursuing him in court to get our money back He has since avoided the police as he has a warrant for his arrest and we are currently going to great lengths to find him as he has changed his address a few times and is avoiding our summons to small claims court

On October 17, 2014 I met with [redacted] of [redacted] Masonry.  He quoted me a price and told me he would be available to complete the job the following day, Saturday, October 18.  He told me his terms were 1/2 down at the time of siging the contract and the remainder upon...

completion.  After I signed the contract, he asked if he could up the deposit to cover the cost of the materials he was going to need to purchase.  I cut him a check in the amount of $1,500.00 on October 17.  The following day one of the employees of Harder Corp arrived at 7am to meet [redacted].  [redacted] had told me on Friday that he would be arriving between 7 and 8am.  Our employee waited for 4 hours for Mr. [redacted] to arrive.  He did not show up ,he did answer our calls, nor did he call to explain his absence.  On Monday, October 20 he called to apologize he had a personal matter over the weekend and he had forgotten his cell phone.  I understood, and he committed to providing his services the following day at 7:30am.  At 9am he had not arrived,  so I contacted Mr. [redacted].  He told me he was on his way.  At 1:00 he still had not arrived.  He told me he would schedule for the following morning and that if he was unable to make that, he would return my money.  I asked him to tell me what time he would begin.  He told me 8am.  By 9am he still had not arrived; I tried contacting him by phone.  He did not  answer my calls.  I left 3 messages that day on his cell phone.  In those messages I told him he either needed to complete the job or return the $1,500 to me by 3pm on Thursday, October 23.  On Thursday I left one last message to contact me to refund the money.  I again told him that I expected the money to be refunded by 3pm that day or I would be taking him to Small Claims Court.I received an email from Mr. [redacted] at 5pm on Thursday indicating that he would be arriving at 7am to complete the job.  By this time I had already completed my day and did not see this email until I returned on Friday, October 24 at 8am.  Needless to say, Mr. [redacted] did not arrive either to do the work or to return the money on Friday.  He did email again, indicating that he would complete the job on Saturday, October 25.  Well, based on his track record, I was not about to pay for an employee to come to work and sit around waiting on my no-show mason.  At 3pm, Friday October 24, a complaint was filed with the Dane County Small Claims Court against [redacted] Masony.

I went to best buy to buy some things I needed and I met Cody and his girlfriend at best buy as they were looking for the right type of laptop to help organize their business. I explained to him what type of lap top he should get that was cost effective for his business and upon finding out he was a masonry business I had him bid on my project I needed completed for my home. On June 29, 2014 we signed a contract and hired Cody Bradley Masonry to complete a 2 cement sidewalks adjacent to our driveway and house as well as removing to windows that leaked and replace with brick and face off the upper part of the foundation. In his contract he quoted a price of $2400 with half down before work would start and the work would be done by July 14, 2014 so we paid him in full thinking it would get it done faster. He was very professional when he came and bid on the project and seemed to have a solid background in what he did as he explained what he would be doing. This is where his professionalism stopped. As he only showed up 2 days during those 2 weeks and attempted to face the foundation and brick the windows. He was not here more than 4 hours both days. When I looked at what he had done it was not level, and not complete. The two windows are unfinished inside with large gaps at the top of the openings on the basement side and they still leak.
When we called him to see when he would be out to finish he would always have an excuse. This went on for several weeks and still no word from him except a text that said he would be out that week on this day or that day promising he would get the job done. My husband and I both took vacation days to be here when he said he was coming. Throughout the months and exchanging many texts he kept telling us he would come finish. He gave us many excuses, but in the end we had to call the police and report him for contractor fraud. Finally in October we gave him one more chance with the police approving that if he completed it we would drop the charges. He had several weeks to complete the work with warm weather to make it easy for him and each time he would promise to come finish and then never show. Finally we had had enough and attempted to call with no response and sent him a text saying we are done and want our money back as per the breech of contract.
Cody is a very irresponsible person and a very poor business man. I recommend to NEVER use him or his company for any jobs! His dishonestly and leading us along after we gave him chance after chance to make things right shows he does not care about his customers and takes their money with no regard of completing what he promised.
We are now pursuing him in court to get our money back. He has since avoided the police as he has a warrant for his arrest and we are currently going to great lengths to find him as he has changed his address a few times and is avoiding our summons to small claims court.
