Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The check may be lost in the mail they may get it next month, I don't know but if I send them a second check for I am asking them to either tear up the check I sent them or call me and let me know so I dont send them an additional check I cannot afford for HOA dues or to pay them because they cant be bothered to check the dates on the checks If they refuse to help me they can wait for the check I sent them in January I cannot afford to pay them for HOA dues as I tried to explain to Mike Smith but he refused to listen apparently he can afford for HOA fees Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:What I've heard Desert Edge saying over the last few years is that they are willing to collect fees from the neighbor, but are not willing to clean up the messThey say they are helping me but from my point of view I'm still living next to a cesspoolThey once told me that the yard was “out of sight, out of mind,” and has not been viewed several times each year except for the pictures I've sent them in my complaintsSince Desert edge has “no authority or obligation” I feel it has been a waste of my time dealing with them Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Ms*** is upset because she feels were are holding her check(s); we are notWe are not in receipt of Ms***'s most recent payment/check that she had sentShe is asking that if we in fact do receive her payment but she mails another that that we catch her first and not processI tried to
explain to Ms*** that due to the number of payments that our office and bank lock box receive and post on a daily basis that we cannot possibly catch one check to not processMost likely the check is lost in the mailMs*** was extremely combative to office staff employees as well as myself the owner and ended up hanging up on me when I was attempting to explain the situationMsOrmand was advised by one of the office staff that if we have not received her check her best option would be to cancel the check as we cannot control the U.SPostal Service

I spoke to Ms*** regarding her concernsThere were some frustrations on missed e-mails and issues with her homeMs*** spoke to a representative from our company last monthFor all intents and purposes the matters of complaint have been respoved and per Ms*** the complaint can be
closed

Mr***: Has been complaining about the property he mentions for yearsMr*** lives in a Planned Unit Community/HOA where the owner owns both the inside and the outside of the home as well as the land that the home sits onPer the CC&R's for the HOA, once an owner puts up a fence around
their back yard, technically the maintenance becomes the owners responsibilityThe home being discussed is fenced in, due to lack of clean up by the homeowner, the contracted landscaping company rightfully ceased maintenanceOver a four year period, over twenty violation letters and thousands of dollars in fines were issued on this home to the home ownerMr*** has been made well aware of this factIn addition the HOA does have the right to enter upon a unit/yard through the rights of the CC&R's, however it is subject to the HOA Boards discretion and also can be a very serious legal matter, due to the issue being on private property owned by the home ownerDesert Edge cannot act or engage in correcting the issue without HOA Board direction or approval.Mr***'s comments about failure to act or not only but unfoundedDue to certain status of accounts I am unable to publicly state specifics about an owners account however can state that the HOA Board was aware of the situationThe yard has been viewed several times each year over the years and as mentioned violations and fines issuedAgain Mr*** had been advised of this. The state of Mr***'s neighbors back yard has nothing to do with Mr***'s HOA duesThe service for which his HOA dues goes for has been provided to the fullest of abilityThere will be no refund given to Mr***.This is a matter of the HOA only having certain options for corrective action and limited obligationThe HOA and the HOA Board did what was practical to correct the problemDesert Edge Property Management being a 3rd party contractor with no authority on this matter for the HOA has no obligation or right to further act on this matter than what the HOA Board has requested or decided upon.We can appreciate Mr***'s frustration on the matterIt is not an issue that the HOA Board or Management have taken lightlyI believe that the fines and the corrective action that the HOA Board have taken over a four year period are proof that the issue has not been ignored

Ms. [redacted] has been advised that due to the sheer number of checks that get processed on a daily basis that we cannot catch just one to hold, tear up or otherwise. She has been advised that the best solution would be to stop payment on that check as it is believed to be lost in the mail at this point. This is not a Better Business issue, this is a simple payment processing issue where the check appears to be lost in the mail. I would recommend that if Ms. [redacted] does not want to issue the stop payment and we wait to see if the check arrives in the mail within the next thirty days. If if does not arrive, then I would again advise Ms. [redacted] to stop payment on the check, then issue new payment. At that time I would be glad to work with Ms. [redacted] to waive any late fees or interest due to this issue. My personal ability to pay or not pay $300.00+ for something has no bearing on this matter and is a reflection of Ms. [redacted]'s combativeness regarding this matter.

I am rejecting this response because: The check may be lost in the mail they may get it next month, I don't know but if I send them a second check for 120.00  I am asking them to either tear up the check I sent them or call me and let me know so I dont send them an additional check.  I cannot afford 240.00 for HOA dues or to pay them 360.00 because they cant be bothered to check the dates on the checks.  If they refuse to help me they can wait for the check I sent them in January I cannot afford to pay them 240.00 for HOA dues as I tried to explain to Mike Smith but he refused to listen apparently he can afford 360.00 for HOA fees.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:What I've heard Desert Edge saying over the last few years is that they are willing to collect fees from the neighbor, but are not willing to clean up the mess. They say they are helping me but from my point of view I'm still living next to a cesspool. They once told me that the yard was “out of sight, out of mind,” and has not been viewed several times each year except for the pictures I've sent them in my complaints. Since Desert edge has “no authority or obligation” I feel it has been a waste of my time dealing with them.
